I was going to see the movie regardless I love the Bad Boys movies but wasn’t sure in 2020 it would translate and I’m glad it seems to be.
@4Legacy4 жыл бұрын
@@itzjustameme4554 because the second one had a lot more problems than the first. And it seems by the trailers that we still only get one "Bad Boy" again, with Martin Lawrence whining through Will Smith doing action stuff. But, Lawrence definitely redeems himself in the end of 2, so I'm curious what's at stake to make his character care about being a cop again in this one

Good thing the protagonists are already 2 black guys so the woke reboot crowd didnt dare touch it.
@spartansareneverkia60964 жыл бұрын
@C W Being led by women doesn't mean its woke. Films like the Black Christmas reboot that literally put politics before plot are what people that call stuff woke are referring to. Sadly, they're now often led by a minority (which somehow is a term often applied to women as half of the population) and it created a trend that people have noticed, especially in major studio productions of recent years. People have been enjoying movies with characters that aren't "cis white males" for a long time, but most of those were at least remotely subtle in their messaging with a good narrative structure and entertaining characters. As far as the movies you just referenced. Those were both made by James Cameron who had a heavy hand in Alita, another female led movie, that despite some moderate shortcomings was overall very well received by audiences. Yet it was crapped on by many major media outlets for problems related to "wokeness" including the main character being "too sexualized." Was @Scene Maker's comment really necessary since it hadn't been specifically brought up? Not really. But it was at least relevant to the Terminator movie in the comment they responded to, and it expressed their frustration with modern cinema. Art is often intended to cause an emotional response so it is easy to get riled up over it, but next time I would suggest you slow down and consider your response before jumping to outrage and calling people names. It will help you be happier throughout life.

@@andrewmartin1954 his movies are a feast for the eyes but are ultimately very boring despite all the mindless action on screen. Bad boys 1 and 2 were very fun movies though.

Wtf are you talking about Bumblebee sucked and was fucking boring at least Transformers 1,3,4 and 5 were fun. Bad Boys 4 Life was good. Bad Boys 1,2 were 1000x better.

@@andrewmartin1954 I don't hate Bay, I actually do enjoy the Transformers movies (the 2 one is unironically a guilty pleasure of mine), and I like the first TMNT he produced, but Bad Boys II was boring asf

Man it’s been a WHILE since I had a good genuine laugh with a movie. Martin Lawrence is just a genuine funny dude. Most comedians in movies don’t give me that GENUINE feel anymore.

He's so true, there's been nothing like that freeway chse ever since and probably never be. The movie Bad Boys 3 is better as a whole, but it definitely lacks the awesome action from part 2

9.5 out of 10. Awesome movie! Old school mixed with new school and the emotional bond between Will Smith & Martin was extraordinarily well done.

Lol I feel the same way while watching this movie, there was a change of energy just like before the 2 movies. I knew there was something off to some parts but I guess you're right. You become more wiser when you age, just like they imply it to this movie.

I saw Bad Boys II 3 times in the Summer of 2003, then got it on DVD... Bad Boys For Life was WAY BETTER than I expected. I did not expect it to have heart and some serious moments... but also my problem with Michael Bay's movies is the action is cut so fast you can barely tell what is happening, THIS TIME I could actually make out what was going on. VERY FUN movie.
