I agree. Saw the film today and liked it a lot. Much like what was done with the great white shark in Steven Spielberg's Jaws, the fear and suspense greatly comes from the fact that you can't see the threat/evil presence but you still know it's there and that anything could happen at any time.

*The first Paranormal Activity:* makes you afraid of your own _bedroom_ which should be illegal. That's your safe space. *Lights Out:* reawakens our primordial terror of the dark when we thought we were over that shit since you know...we have lights. *Invisible Man:* makes us afraid of being alone because it makes us feel like we're constantly being watched. Damn that's cold. These films have something in common: They turn our safe spaces like our homes into places of dread and terror. Should be illegal really lol. Sometimes movies like this are more effective than some home invasion movie cause that's something you can fight. With these movies you can't fight something like a ghost or someone invisible. Makes you feel helpless. That's terrifying. If done well.

Being invisible was one of my dad's fantasies. He said if he was, he would rob a bank. It scared me because my dad was always the straight arrow. But being from a poor background, I guess even he had his dreams, and staying poor was not one of them. THAT is why this idea works in movies and stories. Even a 60 something (would have been 70 something) knew what it was about.

If he robbed the bank, where would he put the money? Unless he has big invisible pockets as well...

Elizabeth Moss was incredible in this movie. I think this is the first movie that I have seen with her (that I can recall) and will definitely look for more of her movies. The first two acts were especially incredible. I liked all the little things this movie did when showing the invisible man's presence like the camera pan or seeing his breath. It was all a really big trip.

Nice editing Jeremy Jahns! I noticed a face in the background of your video and had to check the comments to see if I was the only one who saw this or not. But definitely gonna go check The Invisible Man out on the big screen.

Honestly, I thought this movie was gonna be really bad. Like it was just another one of those horror movies where “you’ll be clinging to your seat!” and its just c- horror movie you’d never want to watch again and it wasn’t enjoyable. The only intriguing thing I saw in the trailer was that paint scene that kinda peaked my interest a little because I like smart horror movie protagonists and to here Jeremy give his praises to it means a lot

Hey Jeremy! Ive been binge watching movies for the past couple days, deciding based on which you thought were good these past couple years since we tend to agree 99% of the time. I just watched Hacksaw Ridge, incredible movie, and I decided to search if you had done a review of the movie "Unbroken." It is another movie based on a true story that is absolutely amazing, and I'm surprised you havent seen it. Or, at least, havent reviewed it. I highly recommend watching it if you havent already. Keep up the great work man!

The first name of the main character, Cecilia, is derived from the Latin Caecus which means blind or eyeless, Appropriately, she cannot see the Invisible Man. She is frequently called 'C' in the film, which, obviously, is pronounced like 'see.' The opening sequence originally had original music written for it, but Leigh Whannell and the sound design team felt it worked better with silence and the sound of the crashing waves. No actors' names appear at the beginning of the film. The outside wall of the mental institution has a graffiti piece depicting Billy the Puppet, the doll the Jigsaw Killer uses in Saw (2004). Director Leigh Whannell wrote and starred in Saw (2004)

I think that’s why parts of The Grudge and The Grudge 2 even scared me. It was the lurking in shadow and her sort of... instead of dissolving into the darkness, it’s like your eyes adjust and she slowly comes into focus as something OTHER than just darkness. Materializing. The idea that she’s been there the whole time and you just weren’t aware of the danger. That’s what freaked me the HELL out. Especially since I’m light sensitive and usually have my room illuminated by one lamp, that kind of thing, so there’s tons of shadows. Ick. 😅
