Without the European honey bee, much of our agricultural goods would be far less productive, which would lead to much higher food prices. So, you migh want to think about that before you say screw the European honeybees as they are what pollinates most of the crops you eat.

Not most. A few, yes. No grains we eat are pollinate by honeybees. Some fruits and vegetables are. There wouldn't be the variety or selection at Whole Foods but to save native pollinators would it be worth it? Without native bees everything dies.

All Africanized honeybees are honeybees. Not all honeybees are Africanized. These are a crossbreed of honeybee.

The bees in the gas tank didn't seem all that killer to me... just a normal European hive pissed off and not reared with human contact. I don't see fused black plates, they have the yellow neck fuzz and they have hanging legs not the splayed legs. I am no entomologist but are they a cross breed or something? because i looked at several comparison charts and looked at the close up here and i don't see the africanized traits. Granted i do see the swarming behaviour but Regular bees do do that as well if you piss them off enough. You were able to stand outside the hive for quite a while before they attacked.

That's part of the problem with Africanized honeybees. You can't tell by looking and you can't tell by how they are behaving at any given moment. The labs in Tucson are the definitive answer on whether they are Africanized or not.

My honey bees can be worked without a veil . If these arent africanized i dont know what is
