I have had so many bad interviews I could write a book. But don't give up. The more you go on the better you become. Not just in terms of interview experience but in terms of personal endurance.

Its insane how hard it is and how much or a hassle to get a damn job making $10.00 an hour.

I had a friend back in 11th grade who was 16 and working at a local fast food restaurant from right after school until nearly 2 in the morning. She was in a college level class with me and began failing because she was too busy working to study and too exhausted to pay attention in class. She finally quit her job a while back, but I've noticed that most places really have no concern for minors when it comes to late hours, or students in general for that matter.

+Rebecca M That is sooo true! It's super important to make boundaries for yourself because if you don't, most companies will take advantage of you.

I havent really had a bad job interview experience because I only applied to one job for the summer, and it's my dream job. I am going to be a camp counselor for a camp I went to for 6 years, and I'm super excited. But, I'm sorry about your bad interview experience, but they seemed really unorganized and rude, and I wish you luck with your new job!

Been watching your vids for about 2 years I don't think you've been weird in your videos and even if you were it makes your videos that much more relatable so that's why I enjoy your videos so don't apologize for being human ☺️ great advice btw

I didn't have a bad interview experience, but at one job they did ask me to work hours that weren't even legal for someone my age at the time. I didn't know that and still worked those hours, but it was quite hard work and I just couldn't do it. On top of that, I had the most horrible colleague ever. She was so condescending to me and talking me down all the time. Couldn't do anything but quit before my mental health went out the door.

Props to you for making this video, Em. (I hope you don't mind me calling you that, btw). I recently had a bad job interview experience as well--I'm almost a year post-grad--so it's nice to know I'm not alone. Yes, it sucks to have to go through it, but it makes us stronger in the end. You rock! Keep the videos coming! :)

I waited for a long time to work at a company and went back to school. When I just had a sit down interview the manager hadn't even looked at my resume.

It is completely understandable to feel different and not quite yourself after a big move. It's not even just a move across town, it is full blown out of the country. Just keep it real like you are. Don't sweat it. :) We are all gonna be here to watch what you put up! You'll find your comfort there soon enough.

Thanks for sharing. I just had the most atrocious interview with a British lady yesterday. All of a sudden, I forgot to mention something which is important such as company values etc. It's a humbling experience that provides a great learning lesson.

when i moved to Madrid i hated the videos i was making. my personality was down to zero and i just hated my background, the whole set up and my content! but it just takes time! eventually you settle in and feel more like yourself and get your passion/inspiration back! also, i can't believe that guy was such a prick, honestly your hours would have been any managers dream! glad you got a job in the end though :)

I haven't had a bad interview experience, it was a bad job experience. I worked in fast food for 6 months and didn't feel welcome at all. No one bothered to find out my name, so I was 'that girl' for the 6 months I was there. The managers gave me hours I couldn't work on days that I couldn't work. None of the other workers bothered to talk to me unless they had a job they had to do, but didn't want to do, so they'd get me to do it. It was pretty bad because everyone was best buddies with each other, and I had no friends!

Looks like you dodged a bullet there. I wouldn't work for that shower. If the job doesn't accommodate you, then it's not going to work out. You shouldn't have bothered phoning them back though - Bloody hell - You may have got that crap job - Nightmare scenario.

I can see both sides of the spectrum: i think he wanted to see how committed you would be to the job but at the same time he was acting too condescending. And their poor communication with you was a huge red flag - good thing you stayed away
