JUST remember two coyotes probably means more. The pups happen twice a year at least.

I have a friend who had a dog sled and it had wheels on it instead of ski things so he could train his dogs in the summer.

A livestock guardian dog would take care of that problem for you. And, you'll have a nice addition to the What The Hale$ family!

You need a Road Runner to out smart that Wile E. Coyote. Might I suggest a 1970 or 1969. How about building the planned aviary and connecting it to the chick coop via a 3 foot diameter solid tube... they're smart enough to find the aviary when they want to be out there, and run back to the coop when needed. .. put some lights in there so they don't get scared of the tunnel... cheaper and faster.

Keeping your chickens safe from coyotes. Tools : 25 miles. Electric fence wire 30w c02 gas laser Neon sign transformer Electric fence warning signs Wifi motion/microwave detectors. These items will prevent starving coyotes from entering property

After a hurricane my friends got the chain link from several damaged tennis courts to use around their chicken and dove coop. It saved a lot of money! The top is covered to protect from predator birds.

coyotes run in packs, I lived on a farm and they would run in circles around the cows and horses until they got tired and would then jump them. Good luck trying to get them.

Check out arrow RV parking canopy metal. A lot cheaper than 30 grand and its tall enough and you can customize to what you need!

Have you checked into parking canopy made with metal we have one on our drive way that was less than 5 grand its 20 by 30. And is about 20 ft tall at the peak with metal roofing that comes down the sides part way then you could enclose the rest of the way with cattle panels and half inch fencing that should be tall enough and a lot less cost

I live in the south and I know for a fact that Coyote was not alone. That Coyote is a what we would call a scout. It goes out to find food for the pack. There is at least 6 or 7 in the pack with 1 being the alfa male. That's why you saw 2 stalking the deer. They will kill it and then call for the rest of the pack. Good luck. Oh get a hunter to hunt them at night.

Might be alot cheaper to build your own aviary. Buy a telephone pole or debark a tree and bunch of 12 ft chainlink fence posts that you can push 4ft down with the tractor. Get the perimeter dug (rent a trencher) and dig a trench and run 10ft fencing and burry the bottom so you cant dig under and net the top. You will spend 2k on the net 20 fence post will cost 450 at lowes. 50ft of 10ft chain link fence is 810 probably need 3 of them unless you use chicken wire which is $120 for a 150ft roll you would have to double stack and burry a caoted garden fence for another $100. But galvanized chain link would last longer. Burry the phone pole or tree and run wire to every other post to the top of the pole. You might need christian to climb or use a ladder and drag the net over top. Pull tight and tie down with wire. Might take a few days to put up but will cost around 5k 10 if you want alot bigger with multiple center poles.

Loved seeing the anteater. We had a friend of a friend that escort us around the Pittsburgh zoo. We were behind the scenes and there was an anteater that was waiting for it habitat to be built. He had just got fed a bunch of creepy looking handsome worms. And I was petting him on his nose. I had a blouse on which I shouldn't have worn but I really liked it and it had lace up the arms and down to below the wrist. It kept on licking my lace. I don't know what the heck his thing was but liking mine please but it was fun. He didn't do it to anybody else but he liked me. And we also went to where they were saving sea turtles. And rehabilitating them to go back to the ocean again. In three were just released the month after we visited. I loved it I just wish I could have walked a lot better. Arthritis was really mess with me that day. George that was a wonderful thing to do for Jeremy.

There are black squirrels in Decatur, Indiana. I’m from Fort Wayne, Indiana and we only have brown and a few grey ones.

Hey George and Jeremy get you one of the guard dogs they uses for sheep or cows and they uses them for chickens the guard dog will attack the coyote.

To protect your chickens, try getting a few guineas, they make a kinda, weird sounds scare predators away

get nite guard.. it is a flashing red light.. solar... comes on at night.. at about 2 foot level for coyotes,.. comes with chart where to place it... Works for me and my chicks

Hi Jeorge and Geremy, thank you for sharing the animals at the zoo. It breaks my heart seeing all of the animals all penned up. Some were unsettled, showing it by pacing back and forth. Yet to save them, they sometimes must be penned up to save their species. So to hear about the miscommunication. You're going to get everything the way you guys want it. I'll try this again. There are solar powered predator deterents with red blinking 'eyes' that will scare off the coyotes that you can find online. I used to have skunks around my property all the time. I put these things around the perimeter of my property and had no more skunks. I have had mine for several years and they still work with an occasional battery change. People were using the lights to deter coyotes from getting into their chicken coops. Worth a try even with your project finished.

There is only one way to resolve the coyote problem. I live in an area for high numbers of coyote's. Trapping fails to work as they just work their way back, we refuse to continuously loose livestock to coyote's or other predators.

Jeremy and George. There is nothing wrong with protecting your poultry. Hire a local hunter who will guarantee to rid you of this predator. 5 chickens lost….how many more are too many? Just saying, in Canada, that Coyote would be stuffed on the mantle by now with a mouthful of chicken feathers.😀🇨🇦🌺

That Plunger hanging up is what they use to wash clothes with ,I have one and when I am camping you put water in a pail with your clothes and push that up and down to clean clothes also to rinse .

As to your coyote problem, I suggest you look into donkeys as property protection from predators. My neighbor uses them and they are incredibly effective.

Jeremy that S not a sending wheel. It's a sharpening wheel for knives and farm tools. My grandpa used one all the time. Even for the blades on his old push mower.

They are smart and if there are 2 there are 6. They are also in season all year round. Get some bait, get some trail cams and call a few friends that have rifles.

Those peacocks are really vulnerable in the mornings when their tails are wet with dew. The coyote is going to be really mad at you when you take his chickens away.

My neighbor gets dead dear from the county to bait coyotes. He has a light and a camera and shoots them from his house. One winter he got over 30. Sometimes counties will pay a bounty for dead coyotes.

Well u know in Arizona it is illegal to hunt coyotes and trap them at night. We have a strong native story lore towards coyotes here on the west coast aka skinwalkers.

hello from Sydney Australia I've heard that you should have Alpaca surrounding the chicken pen to keep them safe & Ima Surrviver Sancturary had an Ostrich which kept all the animals safe!!!!!!!!!

lol jeremy that's not a plunger, it is what the women that do laundry use to plunge their clothers in water to clean them. Also that wood block was a big hoist. I believe. Would be nice to see you get a log house made.

Great episode, and a great idea to pick up some enclosure tips from a zoo. I love the log cabin. People are building them in UK now, especially in the south-east where I live. Very wooded around here too, so they fit in well. Geremy, I suppose you know that you will now be sent hundreds of plastic flamingos, 🦩lol! And Jeorge was right, she is a clouded leopard...beautiful, but dangerous when hangry. I'm like an orangutan🦧...a red-haired tree-climber who loves fruit. I hope nothing else goes wrong before you go into snowbird mode.🤞🏻🤞🏻

Be sure there are not objects near the fence because if desperate the coyotes will manage to over the fence. If not already olanning to put an electric fence around the outside

My son contacted Wildlife to get rid of the coyote that he had in his backyard. So my suggestion is for y'all to contact wildlife in your state. they would help you out to get rid of the coyote...

We have a farmer in our that traps coyotes. We don't seem to have as many around. Great Pyrenees are really good at protecting livestock. I just don't know how well one could handle Florida with all that fur.

This past Monday I went to the zoo in Jacksonville. Had a blast. Took lots of pictures. Even had a Bonobo pose for a picture!

Call your game wardens and have them come out and deal with it. Here in Texas they will set out poison traps that only the coyotes can get into. They also come out and actively hunt them with guns. We also have a lot of problems with wild packs of dogs, and wild hogs. Both of which are worse than the coyotes here. The cyanide explosive traps work the best.
