Just realized that Nathan unintentionally (hopefully), predicted/potentially inspired Julia's most recent (as of Fall 2023) Avatar.

Ok, speculation- "weapon" or "attack" have probably been translated into "sword" somewhere along the line. Karina's prompt was hillarious tho.

Funnily enough, google translate gets them so wrong because the pokedex doesn't use kanji at all! e.g. cat (neko) and root (nekko) have completely different kanji, but since it was written with hiragana it got them mixed up. No clue why it insists on sardines tho

SUGGESTION: Y'know how we always try to find images and shapes inside clouds? What if that was a whole Drawfee episode? Take pictures of clouds from video game skyboxes, desktop wallpapers, or just actual pictures of the sky, then try to make drawings out of them!

I just had these Japanese Dex entries translated to German as well, and I can confirm that sardines and swords are indeed overrepresented.

I would love to see a speed draw type episode where one artist makes a whole drawing of whatever they felt like, they send that to the next artist who crops a small section out of the drawing and then makes an entirely new drawing incorporating that cropped section without changing it. In traditional medium you’d use a sticky note, draw over it, then remove the sticky note and put it on a new canvas.

I'm not sure, if that's the case with the translations here, but sardine is a part of the fish group called hikarimono in japanese. Hikarimono means kinda..."shiny thing". Can be translated as luminous skin or bright metal, too.

Suggestion: draw odd animal group names like an unkindness of ravens, an unplausibility of gnus, or a coalition of cheetahs

I think it would be really funny if they did this again but instead of badly translated entries, they just used the English Pokédex entries that make absolutely no sense or the entries that are so insane/describe something so op that they're the funniest thing in the world. And they could just blank out the name or say "this Pokémon" until the reveal after the drawing.
