When i was 10 i loved this game haha!

I wanted World Cup 98 for Christmas as a kid, and I got this. I was initially sceptical (rightfully so!), fired it up, played a game, hated it and then cried. I’m still pissed off now. Every time I see a video/footage of it, it brings back deep resentment. I despise anyone, and everyone involved in producing this hideous dumpster fire of a game.

This game has a few redeeming features. The licencing, the target system meant it wasn't as overly easy as many other titles of the time, and the opening sequence with Ocean Colour Scene as the soundtrack 👌 Other than that... give me ISS Pro (and 98) or Road to World Cup any day.

Hated this game but loved it at same time lol. Kid memories of playing this with my brothers and the thing I loved was the frustration of shooting and the misses lol

I know I'm 3 years late but Duuude, you missed the best feature of this game! Load it up right now and try the "deliberate foul" button, I think L1. When we were little me and my bro loved/hated this game! Sometimes you'd end up 9 a side cos you'd both got the arse and elbowed the opposition keeper too much. Lol fun times
