That's a very good point Mabumba about the saw noises. I went with what the majority chose, but it took me 34 secs to reach the beach so add 6 seconds to the sawdust attempt and there's your finishing time.

In San ANdreas, there is an earlier patch of Sand right at the clucking bell parking lot you pass. There is a missing tree there and its base is filled with sand.

@@Badinfos I did some minor map modding in the past, that's why I remember that weird spot, lol. the tree is technically there but it's height coordinate is wrong. it spawns way below the map.

in gta san andreas there's a patch of sand close to spawn. enter the tunnel and jump on the cliff right outside the tunnel.

I never knew san andreas and vice city were in GTA 1, too young to have ever played it (started with GTA 3, SA, VC). That’s so interesting to me. It sorta makes me appreciate san andreas and vice city more. gonna have to try it out sometime

i think the fastest way to reach sand in GTA SA might be to drive north on the train tracks into the tunnel, then after the tunnel ends the train tracks make a curve first to the left and then to the right, before they curve to the right you will need to jump down into the big hole that will be on your left, then once you’re in the hole you drive north towards the water and there’ll be a tiny beach there. this route is almost straight forward if i remember everything correctly

In GTA V you can go up the stairs and jump over the fence. Then you can run to the beach. Now idk if this is faster than going by car but it's still worth mentioning

In GTA SA you can find sand piles in the channel (the in-game counterpart of the Los Angeles river).

In GTA SA, is the shore of Glen Park lake made out of sand or dirt? If it is sand, it might be faster than going to East Beach.

1:50 The entire north-east part of Industrial District is covered in dirty sand/dust/gravel, if that helps.

just a heads up, in GTA V you can touch the sand faster you dont even need to get in the car. On franklin's right there is a yellow stair, you climb it to the top and then you need to take a certain distance and jump, you will fall to the other side of the fence and touch the sand.

VCS doesn't count. If you were to go slightly further, you'd see there are sewage pipes going through the *dirt*. Also, the dirt is a on vacant house lot. You can't build a house on sand, neither build sewage pipes through sand. That simply isn't sand. If that was sand, it would mean that all the other buildings that have that texture around them are built on sand, which is impossible. Also, why not use the PS2 version? It has higher resolution textures.
