I like how the Viper Mini went from the best value/budget mouse on the market with the wired version, to a mouse that even makes Finalmouse say "Wait, HOW MUCH?" with this. Like, I'm sure the tech and quality is great and it'll be loved by those who buy it, but man I wish they'd gone for a Viper Mini Ultimate first. This just seems so unbelievably niche at that pricetag.

I know it's been out for a while, but on the subject of wireless updates to existing small shapes, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the MM712 from Cooler Master. The 710/711 had horrible QC issues, but my copy of the 712 has been flawless since it launched in September, and I feel like the shape is super underrated. Also, at 70 bucks and 59 grams, I'd argue that the 712 is currently the budget king for value in a smaller wireless mice.

@@vertuh9165 There are hundreds of countries, if you divide it equally then each country would only get around 20-50 units. Look at this way, Razer sells about 15 million units of the deathadder every year, this is only 1700 per batch. The main reason why the price is high is because the magnesium manufacturing is really tough and complex, which bumps up the QC process. This is also the first time a major company is doing magnesium mouses. If they can successfully master it, they can produce more and lower the overall price.

@Place Holder sadly not in recent memories (the only thing they made recently is the LGBTUVXYZ+++ mouse (G705), a refresh of their popular casual gaming mice (G502X), and more GPX colorway) But still let's not forget they pioneer the first flawless gaming mice sensor with their collab with pixart resulting in their PMW3366 (PMW3366 considered by many people including me as the first "flawless" gaming mice sensor, even Zowie still uses its public variant (3360) on their wired C series), the first gaming-grade wireless tech (first seen on G900), and the first lightweight wireless gaming mice which is viable even at the highest level of competitive circuit (GPW) combining their wireless tech, very efficient Hero sensor (so it can use smaller and lighter battery. Even 4 years later, Hero sensor still considered as most efficient gaming mice sensor. Its performance is now beaten by the likes of Razer's 3399 and 3950 tho), and great overall design (at that point in time)

To be honest I’d prefer logitech not follow trends to compete because if they ever decide it’s time to release a lightweight updated G703 that ended up having holes like this viper mini I would just stop buying Logitech. I know my value as a single customer means virtually nothing, but I’d prefer a long lasting quality mouse over something that lets sweat, dust, and every thing else fall in. Vaxee is doing it right imo and even stated they’re not able to go lower weight without breaking their standards of quality. I’m fine with a magnesium shell as long as they can keep the structure solid. The DAv3 shell flexes and the design is pretty awful with how it allows for that bend without supports. I’d be completely fine if all they did is make the G703 basically a GPX Superlight with a different shape. Biggest changes I really would feel safe with encouraging Logitech to mess with is switches and if they’re able to tune these new sensors like they did with 3370. I use other mice for comfort, but tryharding is GPX Superlight every time no question. It’s peak “endgame” for me when it comes to playing an fps. MMO is a Naga Pro, daily comfort for my bigger hands is a Kone Pro Air
@Shyvorix
@Shyvorix Жыл бұрын
@@AleksPlaysMc Just so ya know, sweat and dust are a non-issue with mice as long as you just simply got a can (or blower) of compressed air and a light brush. It won't actually do damage to the mouse unless you have hyperhidrosis (but you should just never use anything holed and have a protected keyboard at that point). Though it's odd, I don't mind this style of holes mice but hate the normal holed mice but prolly cause I've seen millions of them by now.

This mouse clearly wasnt meant for everyone and while I think no mouse is worth $300, this is probably the closest offering we may get for a while. It checks all the boxes down to the 4k polling dongle, design, weight, everything. Its just a good product. Shame theres such a low yield because having something like this right at $200 would probably dominate the market - though that seems to be a trend with most Razer mice. As someone 21x10.5 with a relaxed fingertip using the viper v2 pro and never held the mini, would you recommend it for hands my size or hope to god they make a standard size? I guess what I’m asking is; are you gonna main it?
@badseedtech
@badseedtech Жыл бұрын
We have very similar hand sizes so...its not gonna pull me away from my MZ1 - and that's based purely on shape. I can even get away with the fact that its a bit narrower than I'd like, but its the lack of rear hump that kills me. My knuckle line on my palm rests right on the rear of the MZ1 w the standard hump and I get a really locked in grip every time and forget about the mouse. I'd have to learn to adjust to this mouse and I'm just not sure if I'm willing to. I will keep it on the desk to see.

@@badseedtech Appreciate you taking the time to give a rando that many details. Another reason you’re the goat. I’m sticking with the v2 pro and will see what they do next. Much appreciated brother!

If fingertipping the v2pro is your jam then you would be compromising for sure in terms of grip/size. Im the same as you. Hoping they do the viper pro v2 signature edition cos im not about to begin forcing a phantom claw😖

I have the same hand size and i use starlight 12 s for fingertip which is even smaller, so i dont think size is a huge issue, U will eventually adjust after a period. But i find the sides on the viper mini flair out too much so they cramp my ring and index in relaxed fingertip, forcing me to curl my fingers a lot. I would personally wait for the finalmouse ULX in spring which is cheaper, also 4k, lighter and comes in 3 sizes, and has more comfortable sides for relaxed ftip imo.

This is exactly why I’ve been getting tons of orders for modded viper mini wireless mice. People are pissed for a good reason.. You can spend less than half of what Razer released to get the same thing basically but with the original design and not obnoxious holes. I don’t blame ‘em, smh Razer

My gosh, that price! In Canada that's nearly $400.00 CDN! I guess Razer is expecting this to be an exclusive mouse for Pro eSport Gamers as it feels to me they are who they are marketing this mouse to.

its not even good for that purpose bc the side buttons are apparently crap. its more of a rich guy clout mouse. for all practical purposes the less priced superlight and viper v2 pro and finalmouse etc are already top of the line
