Thanks for the video. My Husqe 42" 2 bag is a little different, but yeah, the included instructions suck. I had 2 small brackets and 2 nuts/bolts leftover on mine but the pictures they showed for installing them clearly belonged to a different style since the gas tanks were on different sides. So I'm not sweating it too much. Your video definitely gave me the overall "how it should look when its done" start that I needed in order to get mine installed though, so thank you so much!

Helpful video! Just bought this bagger myself. Instructions are not very clear. For those who get this and install the weight kit, you'll find the weight brackets have zero tolerance for getting around the tube of the frame. Trick for getting around this.... Make sure the existing bolts are snugged up well, and squeeze the brackets onto the tube as much as you can before hitting the bolt. You may need a rubber mallet or hammer and wood to persuade the fit throughout the process. Once you get the bracket started, remove the bolt. Then hammer the bracket into position so you can place the longer 3/8-16X3-1/2 bolts through the hole. Some people mention grinding the metal down, this just takes a little persuasion and it'll fit without modification.

You did not discuss putting weigh assembly to the front of mower- that step is pretty hard as brackets that attach to weigh assembly do not easily fit into the front poles of mower. It took me 5 hours of struggle to get them on.

That sounds awful. I did not install weights on my mower.

Is there any way you could provide the part numbers of the lower and upper chute please? I’m in a battle with our Husqvarna dealer for selling me chutes that just won’t fit. The rest of the bagger is exactly the same. I would really appreciate that!

Thanks for making this video, I was mainly curious on if you are supposed to remove the discharge chute when you install a bagger or mulch kit, and I couldn't find anything regarding that. On my mower the chute on the deck is not removable, the hinge pin has some snap lock washer holding it in place and the plastic chute is riveted on, so if there is a method for removal / replacement I haven't seen it yet. I'm concerned that the instructions suck so bad that you had parts left over and that connection between the chute and the hopper makes me wonder about the quality of a $500 accessory. Maybe I'll just keep side-discharging (because I can't find the mulch kit in stock anywhere).
@vdzrussell3 жыл бұрын
I decided to keep the discharge shield on. I was thinking about cutting the snap ring off and drill a small hole for a cotter pin or something (for reinstalling) but I haven't tried it. I also took the gasket for the chute and hopper off anyway and I don't notice a difference in performance or blasting clippings everywhere. I later realized a few of the parts/pieces were for a different style rear end on the mower. They sent nuts/bolts for multiple configurations depending on what kind of rear bumper you have.

Thanks for the video. I don't know how much of an area you mow, but I I'd have to dispose of the grass in bags. Is there a lot of grass bagged for say a half acre?
@vdzrussell3 жыл бұрын
I mow about an acre worth of grass and I pile it into compost. I usually empty about 3 times per mow at least twice a week. If I had to bag, Id get a dumpster. Half acre probably wouldn't be too bad.

vdzrussell I am having a hell of a time finding a lower chute that fits my deck and it seems like this is the exact style of my deck. Any chance there is a part number on your lower chute? Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm wondering if the grass doesn't get stuck in the pipe? Does it smoothly get to the bag? Thank You.

It has its limits. If u mow tall and wet grass too fast itll plug up. I usually mow twice or at a slower speed to prevent plugging with wet and tall grass.

@vdzrussell does it work good and hold up to wear and tear?
@vdzrussell Жыл бұрын
I mow about 1 acre 3-4 times a week for 5 months out of the year and so far its holding up great. The soft bags are easier to empty so I decided to keep them. In the winter, I store the lid, chute and bags in a cold shed.
@zachdavis17762 жыл бұрын
Simple. To the point and yard proof haha extra parts haha you don’t need them extra parts. I just picked up a bag kit just like that for $200

Good so far, been 3 years. Change the oil and sharpen blades once a year. Only thing I needed to do is adjust the throttle cable. The adjustment vibrated loose and wouldn't let me go full rabbit. Easy fix.

I believe you got the wrong bagger for the mower you have which is a Z248F. you should have bought Model #582559701 instead. The part number you have is for the MZ48 mower.
@vdzrussell3 жыл бұрын
That sounds about right. So basically my story is lowes wouldnt send me a bagger so i ordered one on ebay. The seller asked me for pictures of my mower and the serial number to double check if i ordered the right one. And this is what i got. Typical struggles of living in alaska. BUT it still works great and im very surprised how well it collects wet/tall grass. I see myself using this mower/collection system for many years.
