Just bought the exact one for my son... so glad it works great... his yard is just like yours...hopefully it will make it a little easier for him in the fall

It does fill up pretty quickly but my back yard is fenced in so this keeps me from having to blow them in a pile and haul them off to the woods through the gate so it’s worth it to me.

Just an FYI for anyone wondering like I was and found through lots of research: this will also fit the craftsman gt5000 garden tractor as well.

What year is your craftsman? I have a 2004 husq gth which seems to be more or less identical to the gt5000. Did it work for you?

I was at Lowe's and they had one new in the box in the discount section. Regular price 399.00 and I got it for just 99.00 plus 10% OFF.... I felt like they were gonna chase me down in the parking lot cause I felt like I stole it. This is a great video so in the morning I will install it. I'm in South TX so even though its 31Jan today I already need to mow. I bought it to help with removing sticker burrs so my dog doesn't have to wear them.

Good video, should help folks (as you said, the cartoon-instructions are lacking). Need to make sure the type you buy will fit (fabricated versus stamped mower deck). As seen on other videos, the "seal" where the chute goes into the collection bin has 2 issues: 1) the seal itself is more like hard plastic sheeting than rubber - it wears/cracks quickly; 2) the plastic mushroom head rivets that hold the seal's frame to the bin pull out and get to the point where they don't hold. After one leaf pickup season, I ordered a 12 X 12 inch by 1/8" thick piece of silicone rubber from Amazon and made a new seal using the old as a template. Also cut off the plastic rivets, drilled the frame and replaced with bolts, washers and lock nuts. Hoping that this will make it the way it should have been out of the box.

Is there a washer on either side of the chute pin that you had to relocate? Or just on the outside?

I use regular blades so I can’t comment on the mulch blades.

I have the same exact setup as you but I got the bagger second hand as a gift. It only has the “Larger” lower chute. Anyone have the parts number for the other one? The smaller one. I’ve looked for it everywhere.
