TVS’s spanking new streetfighter, the Apache RTR 200, has been on Indian roads for little over a year now. At the time of its arrival TVS’s main rival, the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 was in hibernation. But now, Bajaj has brought back the NS 200 as a part of its updated BS IV-compliant lineup.
The Pulsar NS 200 has been accepted well in the market, for its performance and value for money quotient. On the other hand, the RTR 200 received many accolades when it entered the 200cc segment.
In terms of engine configuration also, the two rank quite close to each other as both the bikes get a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine, both are about 200cc with 4-valves and both are carburetted. The differentiating factor here is that the Pulsar gets a liquid-cooled engine, while the RTR 200 gets an oil-cooled motor.
These factors made it that much more tempting for us to find out if the two can deliver efficiently in the city and on the highway as well.
Watch the video to find out which one delivers a better balance between performance and practicality.
