Hello and welcome to BakieGaming.
In this Bakies The Sims 4 Custom Content Series, I will show you everything I made for the Sims 4.
I will show you where to find it in game and give some tips and tricks on how to use them.
- Animated - Batuu - Waterfall Wide -
Something I wanted to make for a very long time already, a placeable waterfall! In this case the largest waterfall that can be found in Batuu, the world that came with the Start Wars - Journey to Batuu Game Pack.
There're two version, one for on terrain only and one for both on terrain as on the water surface.
The terrain only version also has multiple interactions attached to it.

Yes, though the waterfall interactions except for the gather water interactions isn't. You'll need the Island Living EP for those. ;) But the waterfall will work without. :)

🚨IMPORTANT INFO 🚨, These objects can now be found in the Pond VFX section in build mode and are placeable on ponds too. The Terrain-Only version, can also be placed on Ponds and Oceans as Sims will still be able to interact wit the object when it's placed on shallow waters. I've also added invisible search tags, this way the item can now also be found by typing Bakie, Batuu, Huge, Water, Waterfall, or Falls into the search bar.

You're welcome! What do you mean? Shrinking objects? That can be done by activating the moveobjects on cheat andusing these keys: "[" and "]" to resize objects. If you mean shrinking this waterfall, then I'll have to disappoint you as effects can't be resized. I will make a smaller waterfall too though. ;)

Nope! For the waterfall you only need the Base Game, all interactions require the Island Living EP (except for the gather water interaction). But no need for the Batuu pack. ;)

Yes, having the ability to place one a bit more near your house is better. :) Don't forget to check out the smaller waterfall I made recently too, as it's far better useable, also on smaller lots.

Unfortunately we can't shrink down vfx in game, just like with object. But I will make some more waterfalls later and probably some smaller ones too which fit more easily on smaller lots too. :)

Believe me, it originally came with one, but for some reason the woohoo interactions would push away the waterfall effect. So now I have other plans with this interaction. :)

What do I do if I accidentally placed it in the wrong spot but didn't know until I went to live mode? I can't seem to click on it (or the fish in my kitchen lol)

To delete objects which are placed in the wrong spot, mostly hovering over the place where they appear makes the grabbing hand to appear in build mode. Another option is to use the clone tool (E) and hovering that one over the object until the object's name appears. Then switch to the demolish tool with 'K' and click to delete the object. Another possible option is to use the demolish tool and make a square around the entire object, which will then delete everything placed inside this square. If everything fails, deleting the mod from your mods folder will delete it also from the lot. Your game will also tell you some objects are missing when opening later. Just save so they stay away. You can move the mods back in game afterwards. I'm not sure what this will do to the same objects in this same save file though, so try the other options first. ;) Hope this helps deleting the unwanted object from your lot.

For the one placeable on terrain to be used for showering how did you get water underneath it though???

I didn't, it's a terrain paint that looks like water. A link to this terrain paint can be found in the video describtion. It's made by Snowhaze from Modthesims. ;)

Hey I have a question unrelated to this mod in particular but to me trying to make one: If I gave you a package file along with it's texture components would you be willing to help me with an emission map? It seems like that is beyond me. I'm basically trying to create a magic maple tree with glowing markings on the trunk

I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm already really busy with my own mods and it probably takes some time to help you with the glowing maple tree too. Did you already took a look at other glowing objects in game, like the alien mushroom? Maybe when looking at the extra images in the warehouse and seeing where they are linked in the model files will already help you a bit. (Model > Lods: Edit Items > Medium: Edit items > Entries: Edit items > One of the variants in case of more recolors: Edit items. Then in this list that appears you will see 3 Light-related lines. 2 of them link to the extra images you can find in the warehouse. Sometimes there's also a 4th Light-line about the scale. Your object will need these lines too. Not only for the medium LOD, but also for the High LOD and for all swatches. So most easy is to only have one swatch in the beginning and after everything is set and works in game, add the other swatches/recolors to the object. Bit long of a story, but that's all I can do for you right now. ;)

Hi ! Thank you so much for this beautiful waterfall ! I have a problem : when I place the waterfall and then swith to live mode, it is not visible :( I tried for different places, and for both the 'terrain only' and the 'terrain+water'. It's weird, because it works for the smaller waterfall... Do you have any suggestions to make it work ? Thanks :)

As the smaller one is working as it should, I have no idea why it doesn't work for the large one to be honest.. Haven't heard about that before.. :(

@@milenalenormand7247 I'm sorry to hear that. As far as I know it's not needed to have the pack an effect is coming from, as it gets added with each new patch, but in this case it's an effect from the Star Wars GP. Do you have that one installed? Another thing could be maybe your graphical settings. The smaller waterfall might need a less powerful setting then the larger waterfall.. Do you have your settings set to 'high'?

Hmm, that's strange.. I will probably make more waterfalls one day for which I hope they will work for you then. :)
