Hello and welcome to BakieGaming.
In this Bakies The Sims 4 Custom Content Series, I will show you everything I made for the Sims 4.
I will show you where to find it in game and give some tips and tricks on how to use them.
- Invisible Fence 2.0 (Improved) -
In 2018 I made my first version of the invisible fence. Though it was already a nice idea and worked out quite well, it could always be made better.
With this improved version you're not only getting 2 versions of the invisible fence/wall, but also 2 versions that look way better then the first one did and are much easier to make invisible in live mode and visible in build mode.

i’ve always loved that invisible fence. this is a very classy upgrade!

I agree it's quite of a change with the first version. ;) Also, though those textures and that it now has a shadow doesn't really matter as it will become invisible anyway, it now hurts my eyes less while in build mode. :P But thanks for the nice words, hope you will use this fence even more!

This could be very useful in defining "employee only" areas for various non-residential lots; though a gate would be needed to let the employees enter the area.

That's a very nice idea! What you can do is place a gate in between the fences with the MoveObjectsOn cheat activated and it will work just like you imagine it would do. :) Thanks for sharing!

I'M SO GLAD I FOUND THIS VIDEO! OMG I downloaded this modern fence cc but the problem is that my sims walk THROUGH the fence and I've been thinking of ways to stop that. I really didn't wanna take that cc fence off my game because there are barely any modern outdoor fences out there and I didn't wanna look for a new fence again but this might just be the solution! Will download it ASAP. Thank you!!

I assume this version will not replace the previous one in-game, correct? It would be nice if I didn't have to replace all of my version 1 fences with the version 2 fence.

That's correct, it's a totally new object in game. So replacing would be the only solution if you want to use the new version everywhere. If you want to replace all of them, it might be easier to delete the old version from your game so you don't have to search for them as they will be deleted automaticaly too. Then place all new versions again. I would recommend though, if the lots where you placed the first version don't need any build changes and it's just for playing, then keep the first version in too and only place the new ones in new builds.

is there any invisible gate?? i really want to fence off my properties to keep the randoms away and live my life in peace in my yard without having to put a visible fence and gate up. if not, any way you'd be able to make that? maybe with a little rock and some grass as the only visible bit so you would know where to click to unlock/ lock the gate? thanks a bunch!

Hi, no at the moment there's no invisible gate, but it's on my to-do list as many other things are. If I make one, then it will probably be visible in build mode and invisible in live mode, you can then place a small rock, grass clump or whatever fits in your build near it yourself to know where to click. ;) Maybe I can already take a look at this in the near future, the invisible fence also needed a small footprint issue fix I thought..

How do I rotate the fence like this to make a curvy wall? I don't understand.

You mean like what can be seen on the thumbnail? If so, you can simply hold ALT while rotating an object with your left mouse button. This way you can freely rotate objects without having to worry about the grid. Then place each wall directly against the former one and start rotating it. With multiple fences/walls after one another, you can then create some sort of round wall. ;) Be aware then this fence doesn't work like all other fences in game, you can't use the fence tool for this. It's just an object. So the round fences you can create with the fence tool aren't possible with this invisible fence/wall.

Hello! Just as you would do with any other object; select it with your mouse and press the < or > buttons for 45° rotations OR hold down your left-mouse button and move it to rotate the object in steps of 45°. To freely rotate objects, press and hold the ALT-key while moving your mouse. :)
