I agree. I had a guitar teacher, and after a few years of practicing and seeing other getting bashed even though they played way better than I did made me lose my passion and love for playing musical instruments. I did it mainly for fun and I was relatively young. She was super strict and unnecessarily rude. I quit it for life because of her. I am not willing to return to it because I know how bad I would be compared to people of my age who had better professors and didn't quit because of insults.

I suck, but it's for fun and I learn from KZfaq, not someone yelling at me or being disappointed that I might take a bit longer to do something well. For me they are pretty easy to hold. (I’ve danced since I was 2 and I’m almost 17 now) they are easier to hold on flat though I can hold them on pointe but not that long.

I wish I could turn back time and start ballet when I was young. I absolutely love everything about it but now I'm 21, I've never been to a single class, and I'm likely too old now. The way that low self-esteem and social anxiety can just wreck your life and keep you from beautiful experiences is life's biggest tragedy.

If I understand correctly, the woman who owns the channel started at 24. Better late than never 💕. Maybe you could start with some Barre exercise classes. I did dance for a couple years when I was in middle school and first 2 years of high school. I quit because of the reasons you listed. I have wanted to get back in it for awhile now. I'm also 21, so you're not alone 😊.
