Holy shit, I was not ready for a video like this this early in the morning. First the horrible dog-fighting house and then you almost getting mugged... That was intense. I think seeing all the dog crap in those rooms were the worst part, imagine how much time those dogs probably spent locked up in there.

One thing Baltimore City has are tons of abandoned buildings. I live near the city, in the county. But I'm closer to Canton and Fells Point. You are very brave to go into those neighborhoods. I go no where near that side of the city if I can help it. And if I ever do I keep my head straight and try to get out of there as fast as I can. Very scary and extremely dangerous places to be. Just thankful nothing happened to you guys and you are ok :-)

Your filming techniques are beautiful, your use of music also. I think its just something about the way you capture the mood or essence of the place. I most enjoy the way that all of your content is so original, everyone on youtube goes to all the same places and talks all over the footage and it drives me mad! I will most certainly be subscribing and anticipating your next upload :)

My guess is they split when the cell went off because it went from an ambush to a potential fight if you were prepared for it, and not worth the risk.

This has to be one of the saddest ones yet. To see the evidence of what those animals went through. *Heart breaking*

The thought of dog fighting makes me so sick and angry. My dog used to fight (previous owner was a monster) and I can't even imagine what type of conditions these INNOCENT animals would be forced into. What an awful awful life it must be. Great video Dan. Stay safe!

Everyone on here needs to stop lecturing Dan on being safe. He's a big boy and I'm sure he gets sick of reading all these comments about how he shouldn't be putting his life at risk visiting dangerous places or how he needs to be carrying a weapon. There is always an element of risk involved in being an urban explorer. Some places are much more dangerous than others but that's the nature of the work he does. Sure, there have been times when I have been really scared for Dan, but I'm not his mommy. None of us wants to see him get hurt but it's not our place to tell him how to do his job, hobby, whatever. If he didn't take risks then his videos wouldn't be so amazing and exciting to watch. His videos are the absolute best. It's like watching a movie but even better because it's real. The very thought of sweet precious babies being made to fight is simply heartbreaking. Watching this, all I wanted to do is cry for those sweet babies that never got to know what its like to be truly loved and cared for.

This video gave me so much more dread than I thought ever possible from exploring an abandoned building that had no connotations of a 'ghost' or jumpscares. This filled me with far more dread than either of those types of videos. Well done, Dan.

Oh my god...those poor dogs. Sheer evil to keep animals to do this- I wasn't sure what that black stuff even WAS at first, but it was dog crap and urine- the poor animals being kept in those conditions, and the mad scrabbling that they had done on the door- one can imagine the hell they had to endure, being tormented and encouraged to fight- . Sad thing is, these dogs probably wouldn't be rehomable either.

The first house was so upsetting to me, I held in my tears so hard I gave myself a headache. Its just so disappointing to know that people seriously value money over the life of an animal that has the potential to be your best friend, or any animal at all really.

What interests me the most about these videos is to imagine the lives that were lived in these buildings many moons ago, when the city was in its heyday. Busy, hardworking American families. Crazy to think how these neighbourhoods have evolved. I always have had a fixation on detroit and how it much of a wonderful city it must have been to live in from the 1900's to the late 50's.

I can't...No I don't want to imagine what those dogs had to go through. I have a dog and I don't want to even imagine something happening to him.

Hi Dan. As I watch this , I am snuggled up with one of my fur babies Snoopy. I am glad she is now safe as she was a victim of cruelty. My heart nearly broke when I saw the the conditions those poor dogs were kept in , the blood , faecal matter and urine let alone the scratches and items of torture. I will never understand how humans can be so heartless. Be safe.

I kept thinking, "this is the last window some dogs looked out". It was so hard to watch through my tears. People who do that to dogs, or any "sport" involving exploited animals, should be shot on site. Dog racing, horse racing...all of it. Only monsters deal with those types of activities and as over populated as this planet is, we could do without those types. Good work Dan! Idk how you keep doing this over and over, but what you do is so extremely important.

I am a HUGE dog lover and have rescued many dogs over the years, and seeing this video breaks my heart in two. How horrible for them to have gone through that! And I agree with someone else's comment below, there is a special place in Hell for anyone who would fight dogs. They're pathetic human beings! And the story about the 9 year old little girl getting shot is heartbreaking! I hope they got everyone involved. I probably should have watched the entire video before commenting. Had to edit 3 times already because of all the crazy shit in this one. And you almost got mugged! Wtf? Damn Dan...this is crazy!

This is like seeing a parallel universe but, sadly and tragically, it's the one we're in. Dan, you should get some kind of award for this video; you have truly achieved something here. At the same time I hope you won't go into situations like this again. We your subscribers and viewers don't want you and anyone with you hurt or killed. It may sound trite or clichéd but I do think guardian angels were protecting you and your friend. As for the buildings you were in, best thing for them is a controlled burn or demolition.
