Verte and Halqi and consistency cards not power cards imo. While I understand DPE in most decks is a problem but the verte hot also makes mid tier decks way worse. I personally play blue eyes and now my consistency of being able to use blue eyes tyrant dragon is pretty shit now. A Halqi ban on top of it would make my deck not competitive at all because it would make it to where I wouldn't be able to summon barrone hardly at all. It was nice to finally get a decent blue eyes fusion but with verte gone it becomes useless and inconsistent unless you run 3 and bingo machine go. So while I understand the verte ban I personally don't like it. I would be fine with it if blue eyes abyss dragon could search it

Not only that players were running double halq to do both aurarodan and access lines on different turns or to redo the auroradon line again a second time should it fail and the opponent didn't capitalize on their turn.

Change of Heart is a card more people recognize, and putting Mind Control at 3 is like putting Change of Heart at 2 with Mind Control staying at 1. It's always better to have both cards at 1 than one at 2 and the other banned, because at least you can use both cards then.

@@alextygesen3101 This just doesnt matter. Casual players can play whatever they want anyway, and for competitive players it really doesnt matter. Change of Heart is also strictly better than Mind Control, so its not the same as Change of Heart at 2 and Mind Control at 1, it even makes less sense at that point.

I've been wanting it hit since the say it released long before dragoon. Rogue fusion decks should never have been buffed. No more heroes, cydras, fluffals, etc at my locals now 😈

The DM deck can still summon dragoon pretty easily with searchable fusion spell/material, you just can't use Verte anymore, which doesn't make too much of a difference in their own deck But stopping others from playing it is really good, even tho others preferred destiny hero destroy Phoenix enforcer anywayz

Nah. Tearalaments and splight are the best decks there and a lot of Tearalaments decks are playing branded. I need to look on something besides road of the king because I don't see the mysterune domination. Despia will lose more as people side for it.

Tearalaments is now right behind splight due to the ishizu builds. Branded build dominaton did not last long. Mysterune is not doing shit now if it ever was before

Before DPE, Verte abused Dragoon. And if they banned Fusion Destiny, the next Fusion card that fused from deck to support an old archetype would again break the game. Verte will always be the card that enables this BS, so it should be the hit.

Although Verte has other counterparts ( Halqifibrax for Synchros, Bujinki Ahashima for XYZs ) he's definitely the most powerful out of all of them. Copying a fusion spell from the deck is straight up broken. And instead of banning the cards included in an archetype, they banned Verte instead. He will be missed... ...kinda.

@@Marcusjnmc REF is also balanced properly. Dragoon was destructive to the game due to Anaconda removing every restriction to REF. Without it, only Red eyes and DM get Dragoon, and the generic version has to deal with either setting up their board of making Dragoon.

@@shis1988 Red-Eyes doesn't get Dragoon, it conflicts with every other card the deck plays so it either screws your other follow ups or ends up sitting dead in hand while you play, Guru Control will probably still be using it though.

@@bluemethetys9267 Pranks we’re pretty budget friendly before the Adventure meta. Place was the most expensive card ($20 when it was high) then it got reprinted. That’s why they’re everywhere, and obviously Konami’s sick of em. Meow mu took it from rouge to T1, definitely needed to be limited. Without it tho the pranks are DOA no matter your variant. Even if you’re not trying to spend hella on meta pack doesn’t matter. Ban Verte is great because every deck abuses it, including prank kids. Ban Meow mu is Konami literally showing prank players the door because they’re sick of seeing them 😂

the only deck that can even use yata with any sort of consistency is shinobarons and that deck isn't very good and time seal doesn't even work if you were to set it going first since you can't use normal traps in the draw phase so by the time it would go off, missing a draw doesn't matter anymore because you would already be setup/broken your opponent's board

the 80% representation archtype coming, also d rulers are still banned, zodiac still limited and they release that fail of a deck...... like its so obvious they need money and welp tier 0 format.

This is one of the better takes that I've seen so far. Even a deck as strong as full-power Despia probably won't be enough to keep Splight from taking over so why not have a format like this where Despia can have enough time to become optimized first? That way, the best Despia deck possible will at least have a chance of still seeing decent play once Splight hits. My expectations are low but this seems like a reasonable strategy.

This is a game where going first is ultra-broken nearly all of the time. Mind Control sometimes sees play, to steal an Apollousa and whatnot, and CoH will see play in this way also (especially rn, to steal Mirrorjades), but this is hardly broken in the grand scheme of things. Making going second viable should be a goal for Konami and it's unlikely they're going to ban CoH again when Mind Control has been fine at 3 in the OCG.

What main plays? You either ash or veiler/aluber if you do not ash branded fusion. You can go for Verte if aluber is negated when normal summoned, but you cannot Verte after using branded fusion or successfully resolving opening. Brave variants made Verte, but that's it. The only way I could see someone making that in pure is if you link off the fusions made by poly, and why would you do that?

@@chewdoom8415 if Branded Fusion is negated you can still go into verte, and activating branded fusion off of verte is still a legal play. My point is they have several extenders that can put an extra body on the board to at least get their fusions going through handtraps, making Verte, if not mandatory, at least a very strong option that increases resilience.

@@AusVtuber I know this, but even so, they've all had to make the active decision not to play it. It may not be needed but it does (well... did) serve an incredibly important function for those who to play(ed) it.
