I don't remember checking them out in the mid-80s when they were the hottest, all female pop act. I vaguely remember the baggy outfits and undone hair in a video or two, but if I knew Keren was so stunning, I would have followed her more closely. I graduated from hs in 1984, so I definitely heard their music often.

I could not agree more. That song is out of this world To be honest, that sequence of the album - "A trick of the night", "Dance with a stranger" and "In a perfect world" was in a league of its own, and remains my favorite Bananarama moment.

I like their ballads. Cheers Then is a nice song and a beautiful video. Dance with a Stranger, Trick of the Night. These pretty ladies did have versatility in their songs I still like. They were the prettiest 3 girl band. I grew up with their music. Their outfits are so cute.

I think all three are gorgeous in their own ways but I'm more partial to Sara. I don't know why I just saw the video to Cruel Summer and I thought her energy was appealing and definitely sexy. She still is till this day. One thing is for sure though, they have more talent than like 99.8 percent of today's music acts. Definitely a shame that I was born in the wrong generation. Would have loved to been around to see them in the 80s.

@ 7:03 sec. "Trick of the night" was a huge hit in the USA ---- One of their best songs. These dames have sold about 45 million records!

BroccoliBeefed It got to number 76 in the USA so was hardly a big hit. It managed number 23 in the UK so it actually did better with the U.K. Market .

While I do agree, I do think it is unfair to completely ignore the bond between the two. They are all so happy and proud of the time they did. Let’s be positive!

I cannot think straight when Keren smiles.Trick of the night did better than they thought it would worldwide. Interview is great, some subtitles are hilarious.

1:07 I can tell Siobhan really loved working with"Waterman, Stock & Aitken"🤪 PS I looked up Bananarama's discography and found out Trick of the Night only got to number 31. What an outrage!! BTW people talk about "manufactured bands" but none of the poo groups i liked when I was growing up was"manufactured" and that includes Bananarama. Most of the bands I liked either went to school together or were on the "Blitz club scene" or seened to meet at art school. (Why art school though?)

Best Banana album ever! Seriously sophisticated pop! The follow up album WOW was the right direction for them to keep them in the charts, but I much prefer the direction that they were taking here with Swain and Jolley.

True Confessions was a very sophisticated album, dark and moody at times, some great lyrics in there, and it was even a bit experimental at times. It will always be my favorite album of theirs.

True Confessions will always be my favourite Bananarama album. WOW was a step in the WRONG direction, it may have given them more chart success but it drove Siobhan out of the band and the mood and mystery was gone :-(

for me the most attractive and distinctive Banana has always been Sarah. Siobhan has always seemed the most creative and funny one, and Keren the most boring. The true confessions and Venus era was for me their best time

Keren reminds me of Boy George when she smiles, just something there, they all look great don't they, I liked their style, they put it together themselves, sewing and customising stuff like I do, I still wear the red lip, hoops and boyfriend jackets now lol. They were the only girl band I ever liked, their shambolic, humorous and thoughtful pop music, videos, and appearance. They went well with Fun Boy Three as well.

All these women are gorgeous but also average looking. People are weird the way they dramatize beauty so much. It’s just another way of keeping women in their place and taking away credit for achievements. Instead of being a GREAT and talented, amazing creators and innovators they get to just be “PRETTY GIRLS”. Whatever, Weirdos.
