First half, In short, Kobato attracts bad luck from people around. She has encountered unfortunate incidents regularly. Recently, when Kobato was in a taxi, the taxi was chased by unknown car behind and got an accident. On the other hand, Saiki has experienced fortunate events only because Kobato attracts bad luck. 2nd half, due to covid-19, they stayed at home and they used an application to communicate often or all the time specially Saiki, Misa and Akane are almost always on line. (Kobato and Kanami were busy writing lyrics and composing music.) Sometimes, Kobato joined the conversation online because she missed them so much as they used to meet 300 days of 365 days a year.

Both can be translated as exorcism or purification. Just for ease, I'll translate jourei to exorcism, harae to purification. Host: What are you into recently? So this is a question that is always asked of the guests to this channel. But this is the first time I've gotten this answer. Stuff Kobato is recently into: Exorcism. Purification. Are you alright? Is this something you can talk about? Miku: Yep, it's fine. Actually, please take this as a funny story. H: Saiki, is this true? It's a funny story? Saiki: It's a story you can only laugh about. H: So what's this about? M: In general, unlucky things happen to me a lot. I have no luck. Small unlucky things happen to me often. For example, on my way here earlier, I wrenched my neck. I feel a stinging pain right now. After we're done, I have to attend to this. S: Also, she trips over nothing all the time. M: I also often get small injuries (cuts, scrapes, bruises). It's troublesome, and now I'm scared of drivers not keeping a safe distance. So the other members told me to please get an exorcism or a purification. But I already regularly did those things. H: Regularly? Have you done those things before? S+M: Yes. (in harmony) S: But we never told her to get an exorcism before, just a purification. We would tell her "Please go get purified, your unluckiness has been piling up, go get purified and feel refreshed." "Since you have this bad-luck-magnet constitution, I'm not telling you to learn techniques to purify yourself, but you need to put in effort to protect yourself properly." So now I have a hadamamori (a protective charm) I always carry (Miku says mihanahanasazu) H: Hadamihanasazu? (host corrects Miku, she says it wrong, the word is a tongue twister lol) M: I have a protective charm I always carry on me, and use salt to cleanse my house, if I don't do things like this, I will start sucking up the misfortune of people around me. So being around me is good for other people, because I will suck away their misfortune. S: Thank you very much! Thank you very much! Thank you very much! But then they just stopped hanging up and stayed on the call for the entire day. She spends the most time with Misa and Akane, because Kanami and Miku are busy and would hang up to work. Then when Miku calls later, they'd still be on the same call, talking about what they're cooking for dinner. Before covid, they would meet up 300 of 365 days in a year, so they were lonely when they couldn't meet up.
