Good aftermorning, Drum Nerds - hope all is well with you. Please enjoy the latest video BAND MAID - FROM NOW ON - DRUMMER REACTS.
Absolutely was taken back when I heard this track kick off with a
ritardando, some sharp cymbal chokes and a GUITAR SOLO. Little did I know the entire song is an instrumental, but my Zeus was it spectacular!
As always, the drum part in the song was massive and hard hitting, lots of dynamic changes, subdividing and intense hand/foot fills that were beyond spicey and well placed.

The drumming in this will cause ear addiction. This song, with the instrumentalists moving the parts all over the place, fits together like a puzzle. Marvelous composition.

I am watching so much Japanese content on YT the adverts are no longer English......there in Japanese!!..AND!!...so are my Google searches!!.....What the hells going on!!?...Right now I've said that..Akane 🦍"I Am Gorilla" 🦍Hirose is my all time fav drummer.(which I may have mentioned before)....She is a breath of fresh air....Such class and imagination such power..and with elegance and a smile.....I am totally captived by her drumming...She is my emotional support animal.🥰.

I love how this is the first song off the new ep unleash also hearing this and so many other songs live in both Houston and Dallas was amazing as others have said n i concour this band is a professional comedy show with amazing music thrown in i employ everyone when you have a chance to see the best rock band n the best live rock band going please don’t miss it trust me it literally doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Japanese you’re going to have a killer time and you won’t stop smiling and laughing

Drummers will say Akane is a "musical" drummer but it's hard for a non-musician to know what that means. When you went through the analysis at 7:15 - that's very helpful.

@@DRUMNERD I'm glad you don't know the minutia of Band Maid...It means "The tiny dictator" hasn't sent you into full turtling "Claude Lemieux" mode,where all you can do is naval gaze and focus in on distractions to stop from losing your mind ! @@elevown I also think Misa's look probably changed the most with their new costume change, so I understand the confusion. I have actually seen it before on other channels as well, it happens. It's very difficult to keep up with all the stuff that happens with all the Japanese bands when you aren't really focussed on trying to keep up.

@@DRUMNERD My Grt Uncle (though English) fought as a Candian in WW1.....he is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario.

Yes I do believe she records the piano parts in their songs. She composes a lot of her music on the piano, and converts it to guitar. Can't remember which interview I read that in. Kanami has a couple short videos of her playing piano versions of BM songs on Instagram. The only reason I got an account on that platform.

Kanami is a trained piano player, she writes and performs their piano parts. She use piano in composing as well, she is really good on piano 🙂

No new "individuals". Although Miku's the one who had the idea for the band, they're all founding members and they ALL slay. Not only are they great musicians, but you can hear how crazy talented the songwriting is. If you haven't already, check out Band-Maid's song "Freedom" live. You'll thank me.

BAND-MAID never disappoints, and you're pretty consistent with these enjoyable reactions/analysis too. I've got couple more for you, if you want to add to you're growing collection of cool Japanese bands: First, SAISEIGA. Their drummer, Tohko, has a few drum playthroughs on their channel. I think she's pretty good, but I'd love an expert opinion. Definitely more metal, solid all around, but for me it's their singer, Regan that's the big draw. Something about her tone hits me just right. For more instrumentals you should really get to Asterism, as well. Three piece, instrumental only, they're young (the oldest is 23, other two just 20) but have been going for a few years already. Really talented musicians.

I guess ure mixing up Bandmaid with Lovebites. Lovebites changed basist... I really think u should get an arm for ure microphone..Both holding it drink coffe, comment, listening, air drum, is at least one thing to much. Besides that it looks goofy to hold that kinda mic in ure hands haha... Youre drum analysis is good thats why I'm here tho. So hopefully you take what I say as constructive criticism. I think this is one of Akane's best performances. Liked your air drumming. Since you like drums you should check out: tricot - Niwa Studio Live Session with 5 Drummers kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMukpr2d1tPQh4E.html The band tricot was in between drummers so they brought in Miyoko Yamaguchi (detroit7, BimBamBoom) to cover some tour dates. In this video, Miyoko Yamaguchi (lady in hoody) starts off the drumming and is joined by four more pro drummers to add a proper amount of percussion.

Oh I really want them to do well - always have (Dempsey is my all time favourite player) would have loved them to get a cup when he was playing. Englands my team but always want Canada and US to do well and would always support them if England got out.

@@DRUMNERD I actually rooted hard for England in the last World Cup. Since the US didn't make it...England was my adopted team. I wanted to experience the full heartbreak and disappointment of being an England fan and they actually did really well. My youngest daughter went to college at Nacogdoches TX where Dempsey is from. Small town and everytime I visited there I was astounded that arguably the US's greatest player (sorry Donovan fans) came from that small town. It is Lovebites that changed bass players.
