Well their concerts last 2 hours and at least 23 - 26 songs. And you know how intense their songs are. Saiki is human. But that’s also why we know what we hear is live. The tiny little bits of imperfection make it even better.

@@dicodec Well, I think most fans agree it's cool that Band-Maid sprinkles in some English into most of their songs-and there are 1 or 2 that're 100% or nearly 100% English. You never know, tho, when the English phrases or words are going to pop in. Saiki's accent in English, well, let's say she's always working on it and improving-tho it's adorable as is. So, being lazy about lyrics anyway (I think of voices as instruments mosta time), I always figured the words in the chorus (and last words of the song) were something in Japanese, that sounds kinda like "doe doo mee duh dah lee" Soooo, I was really happy to find out today, watching your Reaction Video, that it's "Don't you dil-ly dal-ly." Aren't you glad you asked? 🤘🤘 Funny lyrics thing in opposite direction: Listen to "Catharsis" on latest CD, Conqueror and tell me you don't hear Saiki singing, "Oh, Yogi Bear, Oh Yogi Bear."

Slipknot announces a make-up show for the cancelled Knotfest for January 11th with Band-Maid on the bill and tickets for Nippon Budokan are on sale now at 10,000 yen for all seats by raffle. This is on National Foundation Day of Japan. Quite an honor for a band that is finally gaining some traction in Japan. Think Slipknot playing Independence Hall in Philadelphia on the fourth of July. Saiki sounds fine to me on this but her breath control has slipped from time to time, mostly towards the end of concerts - it hasn't happened for a long time now, presumably down to her voice training sessions. Miku has tended to suffer from breathlessness more often, which I put down to her inability to stay still on stage - jumping up and down on the spot or bounding around like Tigger on meth will do that to you (but the cuteness factor of the shows would be seriously reduced if she didn't do it)! They're human so perfection is not available to them.

I'm pretty sure the sound of this one is inspired by Pantera, but don't quote me on it. But I believe moratorium is the name of one of their songs as well

Which in turn would explain the southern metal sound you hear and the almost Pantera-esque solo.

I must say that I don't hear any Pantera in this at all. I have no idea why people keep saying that (i'm assuming it's the breakdown part they're talking about). All I hear is Soundgarden influences. Just listen to Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger album, the style and tone of a lot of Band-Maid's breakdowns is extremely similar to the main riffs on that album. It was a while since i listened to Badmotorfinger, but I'm pretty sure it's the riff in Outshined that sounds the most like Moratorium's breakdown.

@Michael La Monda I wouldn't exactly say Pantera but something along those lines. Sounds right.

I'll give her a pass on the 'breath' thing. Two songs into karaoke night at the local and I am done. I can not even imagine that level of output after 20+ songs in a major venue.
