Briggs is the School President, he the first president to fully support the band, he getting them what they need

Opening formation showed 24 lines of 8 people 192 musicians 7 drum majors 10 dancers = 209 total members

192 on field. Once more instruments/uniforms come in the whole band will be in the Stands. They had 240 at this event.

For half them kids to get there in july and Bonds have them this ready is damn good. Few tweaks additions and the freshman get their confidence up it'll get so much better

Due to the delta heat by day and night and those gator mosquitoes. I give you all props for just showing up to perform. I live in Itta Bena and can hear you all from my home . I do believe that things will become better in drill performance. Overall you look great in numbers! Keep striving to the top Valley. Chief would've been proud....Thanks Mr.Briggs and Band director and staff. I will be sitting outside this year, just to hear you all jam at practice! I need my trumpets to talk to me and my screamers to blow. No more deductions, please. Begin the songs strong and go hard...

My son is one of the drum majors…For the long practices til midnight or longer everyday…the leaders…this was no easy fleet!!!This is an accomplishment & epic just in one performance!!❤

Valley used to be SUPER deep back when Jerry Rice was playing football there. They incorporated corps style along with show style back then as well

The absolutely need uniforms. They deep and due to bonds recruitment strategy. this is a major improvement from last year They gotta work on lines, driving, formation and tone when they on the field I wanna see em in the stands. bonds was my band director when I was highschool this is a big step up for him as well. VSU and LU are the most improved.

When this lineup was announced, I saw VSU was going and said Valley gonna be there so at least VSU not gonna be the only small band there. Boy was I wrong 🤣🤣

Improved? Yes? Competitive? No. It's good to see the improvement, but I'd like to see them perform well for a whole game and throughout the course of games. I thought they might bring back some of the old corp-style elements. I'm not so sure they're going to completely have their own style based on this

@@silverindigo8302 I'm not disappointed because I had no expectations at all. I knew they got bigger, but I never expected them to be good overnight. They had a decent showing in one performance, but it's going to take more than 1 to truly evaluate what level their own. I'm not disappointed. It was KB and others in the comments that brought up them competing with the top Dawgs, not me

Took too long to get to each line,Not enough drills! Trumpets? Dancers looked good. Sound is better! Lagging tempo and attacks weak ! Trombones sound good ! Overall MSVU is sounding better I wasn’t sure on the marching style? Everyone was not doing same high step
