@KBThaBandhead man I think its just the numbers game for Alabama. The logical thing to do would be to dial the lower brass back a bit so the high brass can come thru but if they did that then they wouldn't sound nearly as powerful... my g, they punched su in the face on that 2nd or 3rd round.... smmfh.

Here’s the truth that most people do not acknowledge. SU play slow songs well. Hell, 80% of their book is ballads. Beautiful but boring after about 3 songs. ASU surprised me. Get ready for PVAMU is all I will say

They set the BoomBox classic like that because JSU pulled out of the Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis. So they redid JSU’s schedule. They would have usually been in Memphis during this weekend.

Both bands dod well. Southern has a little more of that somethinf. However, pay attention to SU cymbals. Over the years their cymbals always stand out to me. For some reason their cymbals stands out and all times. They stand out in a good way.

I haven’t heard ASU in person they sound great on this video but if you haven’t seen Southern in person I suggest it’s something you do. The sound is so rich and powerful. Yes they are loud but it’s such a powerful sound. My friend who knows nothing about band went to the Pepsi BOTB and she was like man that band is powerful it’s just something different about them when they play. It’s truly clear that southern sound is on another level.

@@reppintime3890 Right, I can go back and look at Su videos and compare it to now and I can say Su is way cleaner and BLANCE, I look back at some of the battle and some bands where just a little more clear then Su. Doc Taylor doing a good job so don’t knock him but I want that song selection to get better in the 5th and they will do it .Doc Taylor heading the band in the right direction, but tell me what band is still the same ?? Nobody everybody upgrade

I don’t understand when people going to realize haymer has been gone for6 year now …it’s reality time to move on haymer had a different sound from Jackson and Jackson had a different sound from doc so what’s the problem?? Mr Taylor has had the band with some great recruits each year and has a clean band every year stop trying to downplay that man and his band like they sound bad
