I crabbed under Doc, Chester White, Eric Baskin, and Roy Jones . I can say that I love the musicianship that these directors have. Battle wise they’re not ready……song selections only. Jackson, Haymer and Brian showed the aggressiveness we have and need.

The rout was in effect, and the PA announcer tried to save SU in Round 7 - didn't help; that Annihilate was mid. It started out strong, and I liked it, but it almost turned into a concert piece.

@KBThaBandHead is one of the best to do it on this platform. He is not an SU homer; he has an SU bias. It has to be a clear and convincing win, or SU will get the nod, kinda like the tie goes to the runner in baseball. I have a bias towards DaBoom (TrumpFunk '85), but when they are mid, I gotta call it like I see it and be as objective as possible.

SU and other schools gotta stop cramming opposing bands in small ass corners. The only schools that I think give the opposing band a great spot are JSU and ASU. Great acoustics in both their stadiums and they ain’t scared to go face to face with other bands. Petition to have every future Crankfest in The Vet

The more I listen, i’m starting to think SU didn’t think Jackson would show up that early since they normally always late and they had to play more songs in the Zero than they expected and most of them were suppose to be saved for the next battle. No excuse tho.

I agree with you that this game came too early on schedule. Back in my day, The Boombox was mid season and we started preparing for them from game one. Everybody we went up against up to that game were just victims of warfare that got caught in the wake.

JSU is currently in their bag right now…..They are doing to Southern what Southern use to do to others…… JSU has clearly taken over the top spot and they have no interest in allowing Southern to think otherwise…. It’s truly amazing what can happen when you prioritize musicality and sound over simply cranking. I love SU but I feel like those tubas could have been much louder … Heck when Tsu had 30 tubas back around 2013-2015 (I think it was) they sounded like 30 tuba players.. Just my opinion but as always Su is great!
