Today I can bring my Beolab 17 vs the Beolab 18's and they're as equally volume matched as I could get them. It's funny how similar yet how different they are. I love them both but they shine in different areas :D

I think so too, but with more bass heavy stuff it starts to flip, so it really depends what you like to listen to.

More of this! Like both but on video i seem to like the clear sound of the 18.

it's funny, there is only a1 or 2 db in it and yet the perception of how loud they sound is so different and it also varies per song. They trade blows imho but the 18's sure are pretty :p

The 18's sound more boosted esp in the upper registers. The 17's sound rather organic imo. I don't think i can listen to 18's for long periods. In a nutshell 17's soubd more fuller , organic and musical.

having listened to many many speakers in my life i have to say the 18s sound right the 17s a little bass heavy but its very close and a tiny bit of eq would make them pretty much even

The 17's do so much more bass though, I love them both obviously as I have them both. I will always keep my 18's around but so will I do so for the 17's!

Japanese figurines actually from Japan and fairly old, given to us by Japanese friends as a symbol of friendship and family.

They do lack the bass parts where the 17 shines later in the video, it's interesting also with how perceivably loud they sound even when measuring at the same db :D But I do love me some 18's thought I'll keep both :p

Thing is though they are not boosted, they just don't have the low down oomph the 17's have. But then the 17's don't have the overall clarity the 18's have. I listen to them both often and don't experience fatigue, but then again I also LOVE beolab 1's :p

@@Mikipedia interesting.. i may be biast towards 17's. Bright sounding equipment tend to be a bit of an issue for me hence i went for the 9's instead of the 20's.If were to buy 18's it will definately be for the looks and bragging rights😁
