In this TITANIC CLASH in my very-late game campaign, we try gather our Kingdom's lords together for an assault on a huge, coalition enemy force, in a gigantic, realistic, rolling, chaotic battle over an hour long. Grab something carbonated, get comfortable and enjoy!
Our entire channel is dedicated to helping players improve their field command and if that's your desire, or just want to see huge, dramatic battles, you've come to the right place.
Please comment, like and subscribe if you're interested in more of my ultra-late-game campaign, that may end up ending in utter despair, but that's the challenge of it. Any challenge where success is assured is no challenge at all.
My campaign is an extremely late-game campaign where I am resolved to give no peace to these scum Kingdoms attacking me - seven of the eight have been at war for years, with only Sturgia at a neutral stance. My family of warriors is now large though and with what remaining strength and valor we can must, we stand against the map of Calradia.
Join me on this adventure if you like huge battles, the use of advanced tactical maneuvers and intense Bannerlord gameplay, and subscribe to my channel if you want to follow along. This campaign is very lightly modded:
I use four to seven mods:
Immersive Battlefields:
www.nexusmods.com/mountandbla...
Realistic Battle Mod:
www.nexusmods.com/mountandbla...
Lord Retinue Uptier(Makes the enemy forces stronger, much less peasants and lower ranked troops)
www.nexusmods.com/mountandbla...
Improved AI Troops(Also makes enemy lords and their armies tougher by giving them a higher daily xp rate. This means you'll routinely face armies with HUGE numbers of the highest tier units, sometimes four or five times the normal amount in vanilla Bannerlord): www.nexusmods.com/mountandbla...
Death for all: This mod allows you to set the rate at which nobles die more often. I want both a harder challenging late-game but also a more realistic game. If you're cut down with a massive aserai two-handed axe, you shouldn't just be injured 99.9% of the time. It's a very customizable mod so you can just a little more death or set the death rate so high you get several deaths every battle. The number I often like is '10', some deaths but not a massacre of nobles...
www.nexusmods.com/mountandbla...
I also use the Dismemberment Plus Mod: It's highly customizable and works seamlessly with the new beta(and versions back to 1.28). I thoroughly recommend it if you enjoy carnage!:
steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Much of the music and inspiration for this and other videos in the channel are inspired by Epic History TV - probably THE best channel on youtube(and the internet for that matter) covering the Napoleonic wars. With amazing work Epic History TV takes you through the dramatic and incredibly story of Napoleon covering all of his most famous battles. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Altough this battle was massive, there were “only“ 10.000 fighters on the field, now imagine the mayhem, that would be an accurate depiction of ancient/medieval battle, for example Cannae at 150.000 troops, gaugamela with over 300.000 troops or even changping with possibly up to 950.000 (!) warriors. That would be the longest youtube video ever.

About dying horses - horse armor, even on the best cavalry is just a little worse than the best armor you can wear yourself. But it turns those 1-3 damage for the character into something like 5-10 per hit for the horse. Which quickly adds up. Decent archers also will just pepper them with arrows and you can't cover your horse with a shield. So yeah, if you run head first into enemy troops your horse will almost always die before you. Because short of making a large mistake - like running face first into a couched lance or stay around to get shot at with heavy crossbows - the horse will always drop first. The biggest danger for the lord is when you raise your arms to strike - RMB counts under shoulder hits as a weak spot and you get way less armor there.
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions

Fascinating - thanks for the details - and I actually rather like my 6-7 horses dying, this happened to famous generals often in the Napoleonic wars and it adds to the intensity. I love horses, but it's a game, so let 'em die lol. And I DO love the intricacies of RBM, super-high detail to the mod, hence why I use it sometimes...

In my experience in RBM archers work well as a battle buddy to a shield wall, they can still be devastating when the enemy isn't moving, and work well for preventing flanking. Also the poise system, while admittedly janky, does help to nerf calvery although they are still very strong.

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions You could legally buy votes? wow I never knew that. but yeah money greases the wheels of business, and politics is business, war is a Racket as Smedley D. Butler famously said. it is crazy to think that powerful government institutions such F.B.I. and Scotland Yard started as little more then insurance companies. Thank you for replying to my comments by the way, it is very kind of you.

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions well y'know sometimes old men gotta take care of the next generation, I like the commentary makes me feel immersed + for everyday you learn more tactics to conquer calradia, I came by this channel and now I can make good use of my archers and also adopted the elite companion units idea as I usually just place my companions alongside my big pile of units but it just makes much more sense to have them independent as elite shock troops in a way

For archers in RBM assign one cav units to your self, then you will be able to manipulate that unit way better when killing enemy archers which is sometime pivotal..As for your own archers Use one cav archer unit where u place them behind your archers in that way this unit will save your archers from calvary charges, that cav archer unit u can use like fast mobile archers and when they are done with amoo u use them as calvary..also if your line wawering use your archers to charge like infrantry they will buy you some time while your new units come..i allways use archer charge when they are out of amoo, this way i get new one with amo faster ,so when archers are out of amoo i use them like meat shild charge..as For napoleon ofc i watched everything on you tube,i can recomend you history marche channel..Napoleon is great But Julius Cesar is way better..u can watch his Gaul Campaign at Heroes and generals channell...Cesar was my faw historical personality..he did it all Diplomacy ,politics philosophy, war,Propaganda he even wrote Julian Calendar..Also there is scene in Gladiator when ex Roman now Gladiator solder figth together with Maximus in firs t battle when Maximus ask him do he have expiriance,he answers that he was with Cesar at Alesia..Battle at Alesia is most stunning battle i ever heard and one of most difficult For Cesar..he him self Jump in Figh together with solders..check it out..
