►A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17-19, then went part-time ever since, holding 'day-careers' like chef (red seal papers), spiritual health care while raising a family. As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, playing International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I mostly abandoned the prog genre in the '90s but have returned to it now with vigour 30 years later. My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i explored grunge, pop rock and alternative, alt-folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electronic as well. Recently i found shoegaze and lo-fi as well. I have a home studio that is ramping up for lots more music so stay tuned.

The world is so culturally rich and diverse and ever since I have been exploring and discovering the music of other countries my life has been enriched enormously. It's such a pity that many people wouldn't even contemplate listening to anything outside the anglosphere when there are so many treasures to be found and beauty discovered.

Barış Manço wrote the song as a tribute to his deceased mother. The song continues in a somewhat melonholic tone. It has all kinds of energetic music. Even if you don't make a video of it, I recommend checking out a few of his songs. he is one of the greatest there was. not only as a singer and songwriter but also a wonderful human being. can speak more than five languages, was all over the world. He also has a doctorate degree. What many people don't know is that at the beginning of his career he only sang in French and English. even has a number one hit in England “fairground”. you should also listen to it

The version you're reacting to was recorded just before his death in 99 on a kind of remake best of album, as a rule I would say don't react to anything 86 and onward from Manco, the original 81 version of this song is amazing, this is just a remake and cannot capture the original spirit of the song, apart from the music his voice is tired and weak here, here is a link to best sounding video on KZfaq, you really need to hear this hear the difference kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pat0dMursq_DY5s.html
