F A D E D C U L T U R E.
scissor steps:
- Trim top to desired length length, small sections at a time starting from the back then working your way to the front, match left side and right side to the middle for even length trim.
Fading Steps:
Debulk If needed
1st step, guideline with zero (make sure it drops towards back)
2nd step, guideline with .5 (no guard lever open)
3rd step, guideline 1.5
4th step, 2.5 blend outwards
5th step, 3.5 blend out to the top
6th, step clipper or shear over comb finish blending to top
7th, step blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
8th step, blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
9th step, continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
10th step, blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
11th step, open lever half way, continue blending
12th step, continue blending with lever open
13th step, do any touch up work
14th step, use trimmers to take out bottom hair
15th step, use electric shaver

this one is the best fade tuturial video on the internet. and i watched too many trust me! i also love how in 7:59 he reminds us which numbers were used. the big problem in those videos is that you loose track of which numbers were used to create those guidelines. and going to the description just gets you out of focus. it woul'd be super cool if there was some permanent graphic inside the video near the head that reminds us which nembers were used to create those guidelines.

I like to defer to the client's wishes, as far whether to straight-razor or use the box shaver. If the client isn't sure and the skin looks whole, I suggest the box shaver first. @@FADEDCULTURE I had to go grab my book lol and a couple I highlighted and why they spoke to me! The Art of war - Treat your men as you would your own beloved sons. And they will follow you into the deepest valley (love your neighbors as yourself) The Art of War - In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunities ( God never said that we wouldn’t have trials and tribulations but that He would be with us in them and there is always something we need to learn from them to equip us in the future) The Art of War - The greatest victory is that which requires no battle (Bible says God fights our battles our job is to invite Him in) All 3 of these verses also remind me of similar ones from the Bible but are written different thanks again for sacrificing you and your brothers time to ad value to us!
