Yea Jason, they look nothing like the vintage Malibu Barbies, don't think they were supposed to, they're updated I guess, the original were beautiful you should Google them and take a look, I enjoy your videos, you genuinely love the dolls you show, you're like a foodie eating an amazing meal, I wouldn't ordinarily want new dolls , I prefer vintage, but everytime I watch one of your videos, you sell me on them, keep collecting and enjoying and thank you for sharing your doll passion

I’ll be heading to Toys R Us this weekend to see if I can find at least the curvy girl. I like these dolls better than the original Malibu Barbie., and the fact that they are recycled is a bonus.

As I am focus on collecting only black girls, I really love the dark skin of the Barbie LOves The Ocean serie. I did changed her clothes and shoes with a cute dress (pink,blue,green red, yellow and white vertical stripes with waist color matching ribbon on the left side) and pink running sneakers (the ones which look like Asics Onitsuka that I wish were yellow to match her make-up). What I don't appreciate on this doll is the ball joint of the neck which does not allowed a lot of moves. As always great review !

I didn’t know you could send in dolls to be recycled? I usually just recycle them via donations to thrift shops. Glad to see there’s another way.

I really like the packaging. No plastic. Some other companies should take notes. Blind bags make so much waste, and its rarely recyclable. Same with slimes and other gimmicks that are used to sell toys.

Awesome review, I do love this new collection, I noticed as well that the curvy doll is a little heavier than normal, I’m not re-boding mine either, like you stated it’s all the concept with this collection, I’m definitely gonna have to get the blonde, I love her outfit. I’m definitely getting the accessory sets.

Oh, I love love LOVE them! The dolls look so great, lovely molds and bodies, even the omnipresent Millie looks so special with the blue eyeshadow and that super lovely hair ^^ It's great to know they are sturdy and have nicer joints too. And above all, I loooove that they are made of reclycled plastic ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ that makes me want them even more! Hope we get to see them here too, and hope you manage to get the one that is missing, good luck on that and please do review her too if you find her!

(I usually don't buy the Barbie in a series.) Had to get her from Target as Amazon only has her offered right now from third parties at hiked up prices.

I learned something; I really struggled to remove my first Barbie loves the ocean doll from the packaging. You showed us how very easy it is--just slide her out!

Getting the set but only Malibu Blonde and Curvy Latino available at 12.99€ Amazon just released 8 June 2021. The body sculpt plastic must be from the waterway and canal floating debris traps. The head and shoes must be softer, squishy plastic. Gotta have them if they feel heavy and have soft, silky hair! Thanks Jason for the great Review. I always have the boxes in mint condition saved and repeats of some dolls. Have quite a few Mermaids and 4 Ken Mermen. My Mom was secretary for Mattel lawyers and translator, El Segundo headquarters. My sister and I were Mattel test toy kids so you can imagine the collections we had all given to charity to be further enjoyed. Love Mattel! Many were prototype toys that never made it to the public and we had to answer questionnaires to help the designers. I wonder if they could have made a recycled transparent protector for dust covering the upper, exposed areas?

Giddy about these; I just started back with seasonal help at Mattel, and reducing/reusing plastic and beach clean ups are my jam. I just might be buying my first Barbie :)

These dolls are so interesting! And that plastic DOES look really good... love that subtle sheen on it! Barbie's sun streaked hair is another great retro touch... it reminds me very much of the iconic Superstar Barbie from 1976/77, who also had a deep side-part! I dunno why, but I am obsessed with those flip-flops and Birkenstock sandals! (I have some black modern day Ken ones that my very hippie-ish 'Now Look' Ken from the seventies is wearing, along with his bell-bottomed jeans and fringed suede vest, that he stole from 1971's Live Action Ken! LOL) And I hate the fact that you look so darn good even in Barbie's weird exaggerated cat's eye sunnies! Are there ANY pair of sunnies that DON'T suit you? LOL :P

I won't get them because my daughter isn't hugely into dolls now and I prefer dolls with more articulation for myself. However, I do think that these are really nice and would probably have bought them if I had a younger child who was interested. I think that it is really nice that the dolls arms have increased range of motion. Love the recycling aspect.

I wouldn’t say they resemble the Malibu’s. Nice dolls though. And dresses look pretty good. I’ve been critical of a lot the outfits. Maybe I need to see them in person. I’ve stayed away from curvy girls because I think its difficult to find clothes. Although I did order the barbie looks curvy AA doll. She looks amazing.

Hey Jason 😀. I had a question about barbie loves the ocean dolls. So I brought the dark skinned doll wearing blue two piece outfit today. I named her Nadia. Is she supposed to have tiny holes in the bottom of her feet? Do all of them have that? It is no big deal. I just wondered. Have an awesome day 💯!

I left a comment yesterday about the curvy doll, but made a mistake, I thought I got her from American Amazon, but I got her from UK Amazon. I can't see the comment now so I think KZfaq has hidden it (probably because I put the com after Amazon. so they probably just saw it as a link, therefore spam). Anyhow, I love the curvy doll, she had marks on her face when she arrived but I was able to easily remove them. I ordered her along with the curvy vitiligo Fashionista and that one has the stiff thicker hair which I don't like so was disappointed that they seem to be using that stiffer hair a lot more now.

People eat articulation and so do kids I nieces hate the stiff body's and they are 6 and 7 years old

They are far away from the original Malibu dolls and their attempt to make them resemble that makes me sad. The packs are lovely but their faces unprotected- NO! Fashions are not my favorite too. Only the curvy is cute.. They gonna recycle old dolls?? Seems to me like homicide! I tried to be as possitive as I can :D
