If youve ever had to release a even a 40" fish, by yourself, you know how hard that just was. Old dude, in a dugout, wrassling a 5 or 6' shark by hand. Not spearing, not shooting, using methods thousands of years old. And doing it well. Rock on, Grampa, you have my utmost respect.

Maybe not sharks but I have years of experience with big fish. I don't eat them, just get a pic and enjoy the beauty of nature and let the majestic beast live another day. Since I don't need them to eat I get great satisfaction on releasing my river monsters back into the wild.

@@daveperala4965 : Yeah I havent eaten a large northern or musky in 35 years. Back then we used to bake one on New Years, the best seem to be 32 to 36." Ive had a 52" in my hands, a 37lber that fought like hell on a hot summer nite. 10pm on a surface bait the fish hit it like a freight train.

Go back about four decades to the rat pack movies of the eighties, where every teen hated their parents. Or if we really want to go back in history, we can look at the Ancient Roman graffiti where they talked about banging each other's moms. "Based on history," kids don't respect adults. When I was at the peak of my strength in my early 20's I went sea bass fishing at Montauk, NY and almost tore a ligament in my shoulder trying to reel in a 50 pounder. This is insane strength, real functional strength.

The conch was also blown in ancient times in India during a start and end of a war. Wars could only be fought from sunrise to sunset. They would then resume the next day. Highly disciplined.

The way he remained still all along amazes me. We the so called modern educated civilised people are harming our oceans and the way simple humans respect nature is amazing. It reminds me of a scene in “Life of Pi” where Pi, struck at the ocean for days , famished and hungry, kills a fish to eat and says thank you god that you have come to save me from death in the form of this fish.

As a solomon islander ( melanesian ) I'm sad to say that he is one of the last great hunters.. the tradition is passed down but sadly most of our young people have stopped practicing it. Nowadays the outboard motors are what you'll see out in the ocean.

A good biological treatment of dead bodies is the way like they do in the towers of silence.But better and faster would be to turn all dead bodies into compost! I know how it could be done very fast.
