@@tobsonasanya4765 people have been in danger for 8 seasons now, yet most of the time barry still runs in, stops to talk, gets beaten twice in the episode, is told what to do by team flash, then finally beats the villain. barry is responsible for plenty of deaths and injuries because of this.

Yh he also seemed like he actually had super speed in this episode too. Back in season 1-3, the villains were good and flash was always using super speed. Season 7, he used it about 6 times in total. That’s how bad it had gotten and there wasn’t even a good villain that season

It's funny how Goldface's henchman just suggested to kill the hostage and he just casually replied that he has no sense of drama instead of being angry at him for stopping him or questioning on how he likes to do things in a "fun" way. Even the henchman's face was like "Well, If you say so." and even reminded him where did he stop counting when asked.

@@LCNighthawk I think from both the Bat and Flash Families. Barry and Wally are the best mentors for metahumans. Dick is the best Mentor and Trainer all around for the bat family and Barbara has the potential to be the best mentor. In my opinion and i don't even really read batgirl stuff

I love how this is ment to show Barry getting faster but Barry did a way faster feat of speed in Season 4. Barry has (by calculating on screen feats) gonna 128,000 times faster then light while running throught a breach in season 4. @@TheScribe1.0 Also, it's kind of a bad decision by the director. To have barry run in front of something like an explosion, with this low budget cgi. Because not only will the explosion not be that good but the lightning will almost definitely look weird in front it. There's also no bloom, and motion blur. So you can definitely see the rush, and budget they had.

3:34 This is how almost all of Barry vs non speedsters fights should look like - all this PIS with them tagging Barry, reacting to him etc gets really anoying sometimes (I get it that the writers don't want the show to be boring, but all these moments when Flash was tagged by Frost, Captain Cold, Grodd, Gypsy, electrick bees, Turtle Man, Snail Man, Joe ,,Slow Guy" Stevens, Rick ,,Very Slow Guy" Jones etc were still hard to watch)

I miss the days of season 1-3 when the show actually made a bit of sense. The seasons after that felt like someone was making something random each time whereas with the first three seasons, there seemed to be a set goal at the end of it.

It would be cool if they made a separate storyline about Kramer, and in the future a series. Where she would not only learn to absorb powers, but then reproduce them from memory. Over time, this could make her very strong, but then the villains will come in handy not weak. And in the end, she would fall into the dimension of Dark Matter, where she would know the essence of the Source of all abilities.

@@kingfogu999 I know what 1x07 is and thats not even remotely what it was. Rainbow Raider was in 1x08, Clock King took over CCPD in 1x07 while barry was at star labs without his powers due to Blackout temporarily taking them.

ah yes, he barely outran the explosion while in a previous episode he spent half an hour in front of a nuke and he was able to run back and forth to star labs while the explosion barely traveled (in all seriousness i actually am really enjoying season 8. reminds me of why i liked the show to begin with)

I thought it was a bit random that they used Caitlin's dialogue in 8x01 as a flashback to motivate Barry instead of the Joe and Cecile dialogue that occurred at the beginning of this episode (and even stranger that they didn't film some scene of Iris saying the same dialogue. ).

The cgi for this scene was a little to much and it somehow feels like Barry wasn't actually running

Barry speed peaked in season 4 in that episode where he went into flashtime and stopped a nuke. He hasn't surpassed that feat since then

When Barry runs in his super speed 3 minutes in the clip .u can see that the shelf is dropping faster then him and he's running at superspeed .what a shame 😔

My one problem is this: Wasn't Barry shown back in like season 4 able to bust out of a meta-dampening cell to save Iris? He should be beyond having his abilities completely neutralized by a meta cuff. Perhaps slowed down a bit, but the cuff shouldn't be able to stop him anymore.

its a cuff that blocks meta abilities, much stronger than the cell, but easier to get out of if you really try, barry was able to use so much power in season 4 even the dampener couldnt block it, normally he couldnt do that.

barry should have been easily able to run away from the explosion without looking like its nearly touching him. in season 4 he was able to stop a nuke for a long time, albeit in flashtime, but even then, barry should have been able to use flashtime here.

What!! Bruh he once took hours to find a way to reverse a nuclear bomb explosion which had already exploded. he entered flash time and you could literally see the explosion moving at a snails pace. So he could theoretically just walk away like nothing had happened in the first place before the explosion even started happening.

this is the same man that couldn't run out to save everyone when the smoke grenade went off at the beginning of the episode. lol obviously cuz of plot, but it's just funny they would show these two scenes in the same episode. these inconsistencies however is what makes me keep watching this show 8 seasons deep i guess, unlike those that hopped off after season 3,4.

Dude he just got his speed back you would expect him to run at mach 27 when he took the CUFF DAMPNERS! The flipping speed force needs a certain amount of time especially a speedster to warm up He just got it back the second he took the cuffs off like he isn't always fast at anything especially DAMPENERS like this
