It’s nice to finally have the Flash being the Flash. Feels nice

Ya know what, although the cgi may not be as good, and the acting a bit more corny, I still see this season as an amazing one Flash is actually using ALL his ability’s, thinking for himself while still having his team be useful. Not only that, the writers figured out how to make a “villain” that isn’t just an instant win with super speed (that isn’t a meta that dampens powers or another speedster). I see this as a massive positive!

This is a really good episode because it was a personal investment for Barry. Beyond being a good enough forensics analyst to recognize a discrepancy in the evidence, Barry always goes with his gut. He's a lot like Joe in that regard. Anyone with his background would immediately be triggered by the similarities with this person's situation. He may not be as good as dead as Henry Allen was, but Burch deserves a fair shake even though he screwed up in every conceivably possible. His son had to see him level up and do something for other people. He is a good person even though he doesn't know the right way of going about it most of the time. Best of all, he saved a good portion of people. People complain about the writing, and I grant you there are problems with the writing sometimes, but this is what the flash is. This is who Barry Allen is in both the comic and in the show. Barry is living up to what Oliver always saw him as: a person that brings out the best in others like a guardian angel. This is the best episode I think from the season in my opinion and I really hope that this serial killer meta story goes a lot longer. It's time we saw Barry do more forensic work. But he really has leveled up with his abilities; I don't remember the last time he phased this great a distance before.

Unlike Chillblaine, this is a villain who i can actually buy turning himself around. Someone who did the crime, and did the time. And struggles to get his life back on track, but really wants to, and doesn't quit. Also, Flash actually has the right instincts and doesn't need his entire team talking into his ear every second because he's just that incompetent.

Anyone else think that because Jay Garrick exists on Earth Prime, that Henry Allen would've had a different face? If Barry travels back in time, he'd most likely end up Pre-Crisis, but if he looked at a photo of his dad, he might see someone else using his father's name. Same name and history, but different physical appearance. However, it would still _essentially_ be the same man.
