Notices something is wrong, tries to get the attention of the others, and when being unable to do so, tries to shoot the intruder, and when that doesn’t work, does not hesitate to STAB the mofo. And then channels all the awesomeness of Kurt Russell with that “YEAH, SCREW YOU, TOO!” before shooting the mofo. I’m so proud of him. :)

This might not even get read, and also it's incredibly long, but there's quite a bit of meat behind the "Exorsister" story. 1) The all female group on that CD was a reference to Salt N Pepa, the rap duo. 2) The big ass knife was an old design switchblade (manual folding/unfolding) 3) Marge's dismissal of Madonna is basically every older adult/parent figure who can't see why people like her were such hot stuff. 4) That game with bart as a medieval executioner is basically a reference to Dungeons & Dragons, which had some satanic references which set off moral groups. Same-ish with Magic The Gathering, having references of devils and demons. 5) Homer and Lovejoy's argument about immoral tv programs could be seen as an argument over expression of public media being suppressed because of "provocative imagery". 6) Marge's concern of Lisa's Madonna possession being "infectious" could be how poor information could make people too panicky. 7) That scene of Krusty apologizing over something that happened from his show is likely how many kids often try imitating dangerous stunts they saw from TV despite the warning of "Don't Try This At Home, Kids!" (And his ending rant could be how many hosts/musicians/actors/company people wanna tell these moral guardians to go 'f' themselves and let the entertainers, well, ENTERTAIN WITHOUT BEING HOUNDED. Basically, it's referencing how entertainment media is being vilified by ignorant, idiotic, self-made "protectors".

7:44 Dr. Nick _specifically_ said the formula is supposed to make your body absorb the mucus membranes (which doesn't actually cure the infection), so reversing it turned Bob *all* mucus membrane.I should point out Dr. Nick would have messed up even if he _hadn't_ screwed up the formula: the digestive system is *lined* with mucus membranes; his formula would _kill_ his patient.

This came out in 2012, and Arrow hadn't hit its stride by that point (before it lost it after season 2, found it again in season 5, and then watched it slowly dissipate in season 6).

What do you know, an unintentionally topical Donald Trump joke, considering this was FIRST aired in 2012.

See again this to me is what makes this the best storyline by having the moments with all the various characters not only communciating with one another but growing and evolving as well and showing more a full range of emotion. 90's Kid picking up on things or Havey's anger still fueling with him: these are the character stuff that evolve these storyline past the standard "defeat the so and so" and make them stand out more and more to me.

5:16 - Maybe it works a lot like a short-story I read back in middle-school. The story follows a young-woman as she goes about completing a Jig-Saw Puzzle. When she gets most of the picture finished, she begins to realize the scene of the puzzle is actually a view of her piecing the puzzle together. The last bit she finishes is the window behind her where there is a shadowy figure watching her solve the puzzle. She turns and the figure actually is standing there outside the window...

One THoH segment I enjoyed recently was one that arguably had little to do with THoH to begin with: Modern Simpsons meet Proto Simpsons. But it's nice to see a fair and balanced view towards the new Simpsons when 98% of the Internet pretty much hates it and will crucify anyone who says otherwise. Personally I feel Holidays of Future Passed to be one of the best episodes in the modern Simpsons era, and would've served as a pretty decent finale if the show really was going to be ended at that time. The Harvey Finevoice Christmas Carol segment may be a side story in this saga, but it really cements how creative and talented Lewis can get with writing the storylines and his characters.

I’ve picked up many, many books at resale places that have collection books if the comics and at lest the ones I’ve read capture the feel , humor, and spirit of the show perfectly in new original stories . Would highly recommend any Simpson fan to pick up a comic if they ever see one . The collection books are quite common

Honestly while I do agree that the modern Simpsons isn't as good as the first ten, I don't get why people think it's as bad as say the show with the Geico Cavemen. I mean it's not really insufferable, they're more mediocre.

one of my first introductions to comic books was the Simpsons Comics though the first one i read was a confusing one that had to be read from back to front to make chronological sense, still have a pile of them somewhere including the Crossover Crisis issues with the Futurama Comics.

My relationship with the Simpsons has been complicated. I used to watch the early seasons and even bought a few Simpsons comics, (We didn't take care of them though as they all got ripped) but then I started hating the show during my cynical phase in the late 2000's, along with a lot of other channels that gone to crap at that period. So when I discovered internet reviewers, I wanted to request you some Simpsons comics. Not any specific ones, just the Simpsons comics in general. I still remember (Never do this, by the way) typing in the ThatGuyWithTheGlasses forums, in your old request thread, "Review Simpsons Comics" over and over again. I got over that phase after I went to college when I realized, I could just ignore the new episodes and still like the old classic episodes. I also got the memo that you do read every comment, even if you don't reply.

I would not be surprised if, one of these days, somebody made a Patreon request to Linkara about reviewing the Simpsons/Futurama crossover mini-series (or even just a regular Futurama comic).

AND they had writer HARLAN ELLSION on the show....I pray for everyone working on the show that week.....Harlan is a writer. NOT a sci-fi writer which is best known for, he just wanted to be called a writer. He HATED being called a science fiction writer. Harlan was a known grump, and known for his ego....I just would love to know what it was like in the studio that day....The staff maybe had to lie down after working with him for an hour.
