When someone says that they cannot get the whole tornado in the camera frame, that might be a clue that they are WAY too close!

You obviously never been in a large tornado their car as you can tell has not fixed to withstand the tornadoes . They will turn right around on a dime. It comes right back at you. These guys are way too close and it has nothing to do with being a Karen. It's about being through these many times and seeing the massive destruction.@somnuswaltz5586

If I may interject, please remember El Reno and don’t get underneath the main circulation… 4:45 you’re clearly too close and if that base descends, you can’t outrun it.

Exactly. I really dislike when storm chasers go so close they are getting hit with debris. These guys get excellent footage but there is absolutely no need to get that close. It makes me not want to watch their otherwise excellent videos. Makes me feel sick with worry. When they were "too close" to get the whole thing in the frame, yeah, way too close. That would be a good time to back up. We have seen many tornadoes change direction suddenly, or put another funnel down right behind storm chasers. Never forget Tim Samaras. He was actually quite careful. In the end it wasnt enough. Don't get too complacent. There are telephoto lenses for a reason. Your footage is just as good when you are a safer distance away as when you get into the edges of it. Great footage, but I almost clicked off in those couple of spots you got too close. Otherwise, some incredible footage here.

i don't mean to rude but did you watch this video to see great tornadic activity? Did you see that? Yes, there comments are unsympathetic, but did you get what you came for? I can understand being in this mist of an incredible storm and seeing a house torn to shred with my first thought being "wow look at how that house got ripped up!" and then the next being "I hope those people are okay." I know that they didn't mention people and that they were just worried about getting the shot but that's because they were more concerned about getting this great video of a tornado for you and whoever else clicked on this video to see a great tornado with no initial thought of it ripping up houses leaving people homeless because that's what tornadoes do

@haydenmary4849 storm chasers do the same, but you can actually hear the concern in their voices, the nervousness, empathy. These guys seemed excited. Watch real storm chasers, they don't get excited and thrilled. They are actually concerned. Amazing footage, but I found it disheartening the way you Woo-hooed after it hit that house. Someone's home was shredded, and you let out a subdued cheer. The chasers I watched yesterday immediately went to homes to help. Not one celebrated the event, saying it was awesome. You have great footage, but the way the video was edited, it made you appear cold-hearted. I hope it was due to editing, and that wasn't your first response.

People are supposed to be in storm shelters. Therefore "poor house" can be most appropriate. Also this is a view of an ongoing situation where your own safety is at stake. Please remember everyone reacts differently in intense situations. Personally, I would react very similarly, but I would then have nightmares and constant anxiety for the people affected afterwards. Just because they didn't show the emotions YOU think they should at that exact moment or even what they chose to show in this 6 minute video of an hour plus long journey, doesn't mean they don't care at all. This video isn't about them and how they feel, it's a video about the tornado. Some of the most calm and calculated storm chasers are also the most empathetic and helpful, they'll be the first to jump in and help. But according to y'all, that means absolutely nothing if they don't say or post the right thing in an adrenaline filled moment. It's always people who have never been through anything close that pass judgement and that's much crueler than anything I witnessed in the video.

Stop wanting to dictate how other people should think or feel. Hard to have compassion and empathy with people these days, seeing how academically illiterate and uneducated most people are. Stop putting yourself on a moral high ground and instead focus on the things you can actively change. Everything else is pure stupidity.

they seem rather careless with how close they get to the tornado itself as well. they may think they are invincible, but the 200+ mph winds (F3, i know, measured wind speeds (determined by Reed Timmer)) tend to not care if chasers are careless. last night a tornado did a 180 while in touchdown mode while another from the same storm was anti-cyclonic. very hard to determine where or when a tornado will change direction.

@@chazmichaelmichaels88 my God you’re worse than my wife. Talk about inventing something out of nothing. How you got that out of what I wrote is beyond me. Let me see if I can dumb it down a little for you. Under no circumstance, do I find life-changing and life killing storms of any kind beautiful in any way shape or form. There are many other words that you can use to show respect but beautiful is not one of them. Would you call watching someone’s house burn to the ground beautiful because fire can be beautiful? Hopefully this registered for you. If not , I would personally blame the public school system.

"poor house" , "it's only insulation" the video is spectacular but the lack of concern for those possibly affected in those two homes is strange, I only can hope you confirmed all were safe or no one was present and did not elect to include that information in your video.

They don’t care, they just keep driving around like idiots, thinking they’re going to be famous.

Well, send a few bucks in donation to charities helping those hit. Or don't watch the videos making them more profitable. Similar argument not to film *any* disaster then of course.

This is some of the most beautiful footage i've seen of tornadoes yet but it's so hard to hear juxtaposed against the blasé conversation like "aw, poor house" and "just took out that house, wooo". IDK man. Don't ever forget these are peoples' lives you're watching change.

~~~~~~ 100% mercenary, 0% compassionate ~~~~~~ There appeared to be lights on in the house that had its roof torn off, so someone was at home. I was appalled that this couple watched that WITHOUT EVEN CONSIDERING whether occupants of that home might need immediate help from the people who were just selfishly driving on by. "Just took out that house. Woooo." And, they seemed to be rooting for the tornado to destroy barns, so I'm guessing they have no concept of the extreme monetary and sentimental value of a barn, home, livestock, or mature trees... or what it's like to try to recover from this devastation. The flying barn roof that made him so happy may have also ruined someone's career or life.
These people are so close to that storm…WOW!!! I’ve never seen a huge tornado, spawn little tornados before. This footage is incredible!!! I can definitely understand them being drawn to the storm, and completely stunned by its destruction. I’m sure their commentary wasn’t intended as disrespectful. They are in the moment, unscripted, adrenaline pumping, probably scared as hell. They spoke truth….that tornado destroyed everything in its path. This is something I can only imagine to experience.
