Great video! Helped me put together some more concepts. To add on @ 5:50 shear stress is shown to be proportional to du/dy. This relationship is shown to be linearly related via constant mu - (dynamic) viscosity, this is a Newtonian Fluid. You can look up Newtonian fluid and see other types of fluids are non-linear, such as toothpaste. Another interesting point to add is the velocity profile above the plate is for laminar flow. The diagram shows something called the boundary layer, which is covered in his next video (also great). If you lookup "laminar vs turbulent boundary layer" you will notice a difference in the two profiles. You'll see the turbulent boundary layer stays closer to the plate over a distance. This is because the turbulent flow has more mixing, which causes it to stay attached to the plate for longer.
