Thank you Steve! I have a new to me serger, a gift, it’s filthy. No good repair shops nearby. Took the bottom off and got a fiber snowstorm. As a serger newbie I needed a demo.

I never blow air into a machine. Instead, I use a vacuum. Good tip about the needles. Good video!

Other videos state we are not to use that air tin , because it blows air into the server

I think he mentioned to blow things outward, not into the machine so that should be fine.

I saw that in another video, and they said to buy a vacuum attachment kit, but canned air seems so much easier. I’m going to try both. Maybe it depends on how dirty the serger is?

I havent use my new serger bec I got intimidated by it. And now I want to use it after five years, I can’t even move the hand wheel. What do you think is wrong with my serger?Thank you.

''moisture'' that's why i love industrial machines better, you can litterally do anything with them and rebuild them up to spec hehehehe. they also work faster and longer ,but take lot more space :(

Well that was very unuseful. If you don't know to clean your serger regularly and keep it oiled you probably shouldn't have one. Not quite sure what the point of this video was, I'm shocked some people found it helpful.
