Beautiful repair/restoration, so happy to see an Archtop done justice! My 1922 L3 (sans truss rod) is still my favorite guitar I’ve ever played. Not the loudest you’ve ever heard, but these can be so nuanced and expressive, they play almost like a piano 🎹

Oh boy, I had one of these - L3, which was in almost Showroom/museum condition. It was confiscated by HMRC as I bought it, with a Martin "-17 from an American smuggler in London. I had to sell them both to pay the mortgage - £150 each !! That was in 1975 - still hurts!

@@JeremySheppard Hi Jeremy, It took about six months and writing leter advising (truthfully) that I had asked te seller three times,that it had been imported legally. I had to pay Excise duty, and taxes and a handling charges toHM Customs and Excise. By then my job had been moved and I had to take out my first mortgage which was crippling - a pay the bills or eat situation. Back then we had no real idea about the value of such things and I sold the Gibson and the Martin for £150 each . Win some lose some.
