This video deals with the basics of the very important topic of switched mode power supplies. Starting with the capacitor and charge pumps, the video goes over to the basic behaviour of inductors. Finally it shows an overview of the different types of switched mode power supplies.

Thanks a lot for this great video. I would just like to check one point please if you are available to reply; Why are the voltage arrows pointing to the point of lower voltage instead of the higher voltage? Isn't the common convention for voltage arrows to point to the point of higher voltage?

Very good video, however at minute 6:07 there is a little conceptual problem. If you have an inductor with a current flowing in to it and then you connect in parallel *only* another inductor (so you have two inductor insulated from other components), the two inductor are *also* in series and the initial current cannot vary instantly. There is also another problem: the tip of the arrow that indicate the voltage, in europe, is the positive pole

@@geekstradamus1548 America took German scientists for the moon projects, too the tv work from Europe/UK and look up the Manhattan project scientists! The usa is good at stealing knowledge.
