This is not the case only USA, China , russia developed and operating Fifth gen jet many countries still on work and the 4 th gen jet will remain potential for any airforce even at 2050 and AMCA will fly only after 2032.

Japan doesnt have 5th gen program they are joining UK's tempest 6th gen program, as for korean and turkish programs none of them are 5th generation as of now they will fly by 2029 and currently has foreign technology.

Pakistan, (PAF) will already have 2 different platforms of 5th gen fighters namely J31 and turkish Khaan flying before AMCA is even in development stage moreover, PAF by then will be developing project AZM there's a reason the country is in dire straits financially, Pak army always find a way to ensure there air force has an edge and that there military maintains strategic balance

Unless India buys used ones, which are as such white elephants like SU 30, it will take lot of $$ and time to restart F22 production line again. The Americans weren't offering it to us. Besides it is unlikely India will buy fighter jets from the Americans any time soon. transports, engines, radars, sure. capital ships, high profile aircraft, probably not.

Buy jets from America means u will have to lick their boots, something India doesn't wanto do and that's good thing. There are too many caviats to having the f35.

If it follows the generation evolution of .5 it will be good. As the world will probably be working on or with 6th generation aircraft having a 5.5 doesn't sound bad. And then alongside development of 6.5 will foster advantage. .5 generation strategy instead of 1 generation strategy will actually change game.

Common man problem is due to the thought process of unrealistic expectations and under performance attitude. Every country has its common man suffering. One can only decrease it and not eliminate it.

It's not that simple. With every "generation", the timelines keep growing. In military aviation Gen. 1 was 10 - 15 years (1903 - 1918), Gen. 2 around 25 years (1920 - 1945), Gen. 3 around 30 years (1945 - 1975), Gen 4 / 4.5 around 40 years (1975-2015), 5th generation had a huge overlap from 1991 onwards via the American B2, F-117, then F-22 and F-35 2002 onwards till date. 6th generation will include AI, autonomous systems, shape shifting molecules, perhaps quantum encryption, but at the same time more off-the-shelf components, serviceability, future extensibility, etc. The American F6xx and British Tempest programs are not going to come online by end of decade. It might be interesting for India to join the Tempest program, but they might want to own their own IP. That's what made them back out of the PAK-FA / SU-57 program
