Battle of the Miniature Modular Cams: insta360 Go 3S versus DJI Action 2 in 4K

29 күн бұрынBoth cameras were shot simultaneously in 4K 30P. The Action 2 was shot in D-Cinelike and the Go 3S in Flat. Auto WB was used for both, with EV -0.3.
The Go 3S was in MEGA FOV and the Action 2 in Dewarp FOV.
The shots from each are shown sequentially - first the Action 2 version and then the Go 3S version. all clips are labelled.

Go3s : better highlights, cooler kelvin default, more resolution. Would love to see a side by side of go3s and pocket 3

Agree. Also, Go 3S has less stretch distortion at the edges and significantly less of a crop (which may be why there is higher resolution).

Thanks, but this way looks like the action2 has a narrower fov, since it's in dewarp vs MEGA od the go3s. Do you have a comparison using the action in ultra wide, which would be the equivalent to the mega? Thanks. The thing is there is no info about the actual angle of the OS3. The action 2 states (i believe) 155 degrees. The widest of the action cams.

I used the modes for both that have the least distortion without compromising FOV too much. I do not like the bending and disruption associated with the widest views. I really like mega on the Go 3s because it seems to avoid distortion with a wide FOV. I understand that the widest modes may be of use to you and many others but I never use them.

The video shows you the difference in image quality and stabilization, if any, so you can decide for yourself.
