I hope "Magazine" will be the next attachment slot addition in BF5. All weapons need magazine attachments, it's something that's sorely missing from BF. Could make for faster reloads, could make for more rounds per mag.

Jason Winnage there's also different bullet types like incendiary and tracers. If you want even more there's also unjacketed, half jacket and full jacket which offer varying levels of penetration. it would be nice to change the load so you could use a suppressor as an over-sized flash hider or just fire subsonics for the heck of it

Happy Camper which is why I never move in first but let someone else take care of the heat. Besides, lmg's in bf4 are almost assault rifles (AWS just is) and can hold its own against another. Otherwise, just take cover until the fool has to reload (they always do) and then give m lead.

Im suggesting a good rush loadout for the m240 if you want a diffrent play style 240b with compenstator potatoe grip green laser and kobra sight its amazing

My best weapon in BF3 by a lot. It's not as good in BF4, partially due to how the maps are laid out and there seems to be no decent place to throw up a bipod anymore. All of the ledges are tiered so that you throw a bipod up and you're immediately staring at the inside of a window sill (see buildings on Lancang). But yes, I run it with the same loadout.

If you wanna use a bipod, you might as well just play BF3. BF4 focuses on more mobile combat. Camping with a bipod makes you a liability.

Damion Sponbeck That's unfortunately what BF4 boils down to. That's why it blows. Shit balance decisions, like the decision to nerf suppression, which was one of the only things LMGs had going for them. That's on top of other things like the MAA rendering Helis useless, Assault and Engineer still being pretty much the only effective PTFO classes to play, vehicles in general being cardboard boxes, etc. Not gonna say BF3 was perfect, but it certainly did these gameplay elements 10x better than BF4.

It's not catering to all playstyles when there's hardly anything that the design of BF4 has to offer to make more defensive playstyles viable. That was the main problem with the LMGs in this game, and possibly the Support class itself. Stat-wise, LMGs in general have recieved a lot of buffs. It's just that with the current map design and the lack of effective suppression, LMGs are near useless compared to the typical Carbine or AR.

Wholeheartedly agree - it's about niches. Generally speaking, I don't use the M240B unsupported because the recoil will almost immediately get out of control. As such, you need separation from your targets to maximize your effectiveness. Assault rifles and other lighter weapons dominate LMGs close in due to higher RoF and better mobile accuracy, so you really need a longer range engagement to take advantage of your weapon's greatest advantage: massive volumes of relatively accurate fire. If you're going to die consistently before you can empty a clip, you're wasting your time. Suppressors can marginally help with this problem, but they wreck your range advantage, so I use them only on maps/with weapons that I intend to use without a bipod (my general favorite for this is the RPK-12 suppressed w/ 1x + Magnifier or Laser+Light and Angled Grip - aesthetic choice but most of the lower damage model LMGs will do).

This thing can kill effectively across entire objectives when using a bipod- I speak from personal experience.

MinJun Kim you can get mounted machine gun 1 meter above the ground with your bare arms but you can't moove it for more than 50 meters that's my point you can't fight with it so these are heavy and the m240b is quite light compared to others

Technically yes you are correct the M60 is a Medium or General Purpose machine gun but in the scope of the game its the M2 Browning of its class.

I use the Prisma 3.4x scope on the 240b but, instead of the bipod I use the angled foregrip and heavy barrel and just tap fire this thing. I mostly play on Hardcore where this gun is a 2 shot kill and it is an absolute beast.

steelgear While you try to bring your m240B some AEk or Famas will eat you before you even fire a shot. cqb m240b and pkp are only for locking down corridors and spamming those bullets. You can play them on every map, but i tend to change weapons and play on their strengths not their weaknesses.

he has already talked about this in his videos multiple times and you can look it up easily. there is nothing to make a video about you get them from getting squad based points (squad revive, heal, resupply, assist etc) you lose them if your squad wipes (all dead). It will drop down to the last upgrade.

Unfortunately, he doesn't. Most of the Battlefield KZfaqrs are like him. Probably because of how little to no recoil guns were in BC2. I don't know, it's different in a hundred ways. And I don't why they still have that kind of playstyle.

yes but the magnifier is situational, I have it on most of my guns (for lack of better attachments yet) and I'll still take the long range shot with a Kobra before I switch the magnifier on, but sometimes I'll flip it and use the extra accuracy when I feel I need it, its more or less just there until you really WANT to use it.

مشعل الحربي Snipers are decently balanced as well, don't know about the Scout and the FY-JS not being 1-shot kill from any range though. When it comes to vehicles, attack choppers are underpowered, the Russian stealth jet is OP, and the mobile AA is also very if not too powerful.

ZewRongGuy Luckily, the chinese and american jets got a slight buff, and the russian's was nerfed a bit. I haven't been playing much in jets ever since this happened, but from what i can tell it's helped out quite a bit

Yea! I Serve on Brazilian Army and the M240 (FnMAG) Is my endowment weapon, at least 2 guys, one to carry the gun and other to reload, Place the Tripod (we call reparo) and carry the tripod on marches and patrols

It doesn't need 200 rounds. None of the lmg's need 200 rounds. 100 is enough, if you're burning through all 100 rounds to fast you're doing something wrong.
