@@Holdthetomatoesplz nah wasnt me. I didnt like the TTK flip flop, but i enjoyed the gunplay for the most part. It was a good battlefield at its core. I always said that. Especailly after the pacific dropped. I always wondered why the players dont see the beauty of that game. It had flaws, massive flaws. Especially the air gameplay was bad, but the core game, was something. They could have improved upon it. Instead they made BF2042 and forgot or didnt notice what worked in BFV.

@@SheriffsSimShack yeah this game wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I always thought that it had so much potential. I’m a huge BFV fan and I just see this same nonsense going on again. DICE floundered on BFV and Battlefront 2 because of a huge amount of backlash, and only now are they getting the recognition they deserve. DICE messed up during their development cycles too, but the reality is that if it wasn’t for BFV being the lowest sales in the franchise, along with constant vitriol from the player base, then maybe they would’ve spent more time developing it. Instead, we got 2042, another game I enjoy playing, and DICE didn’t bring anything they learned from BFV over. And I definitely don’t think 2042 will build up the reputation BFV has, being “a game that wasn’t as bad as it was viewed during its lifecycle”, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that DICE has once again decided to pull out and start on a new title without seeing the previous one through to any sort of completion. It’s hard being a battlefield fan sometimes.

I'm doing a part 2 with the rest of the maps in the playlist. I have a bunch of stationary gameplay saved as well but that is just sitting on canon aka one-handed gameplay so not sure if I'll ever do anything with it. There is one separate clip that I have that I need a British type person that can do a David Attenborough impression to voice over.

TLDR: EQs you use will have to be different for different headphones/sets, as each one is programmed with its own EQ profile. Even having a different amp will give me a different result with the same EQ than someone else's (IE I have an old amp model that can create too much bass and distortion with more gain). The first thing to consider when you have trouble differentiating different sounds of battle or anything else you are doing are the headphones you are using, their power source, and equalizer settings. I would never want to be without some kind of amp as insurance as my current PC and most computers no matter how fancy their motherboard is probably will not power all headphones sufficiently (almost everything I tried off of my PC was too quiet). I found a pair of headphones that were basically cheat eqed for gaming to hear as I call it, everything everywhere all at once, that I used for the past 7 years and when I went to replace them with another model this year I had the option of either, learning to create my own EQ to replicate the sound profile I used to have that let me hear everything, or to keep trying and returning pairs until I found another one that did it for me. I chose the later since I just don't have that level of EQing knowledge yet. But you CAN EQ almost any headphone and headset to lower the things that are too overwhelming, and bring up all the other sounds you can't hear well enough. But it does take some learning to perfect. Just keep in mind you can't polish turds, if the headphone/set you have has a weird EQ already, drastically changing it can cause distortion and sound issues, so its always best to start with something already programmed close to what you already desire.

For me it's usually just the "Headphone" preset. I didn't select the 3D option in BFV or BF2042, wasn't a noticeable benefit for me or my setup. Often times not hearing footsteps occurs when too many things are happing at once making it more difficult to notice or identify. In some cases like in the current version of BF2042 there are so many audio effects now in the game it just completely drowns out other audio effects that are very close by which makes footstep audio and other soldier audio nonexistent during that time.

I'm more concerned about the other cheating/hacking I've heard going on in BFV. I haven't seen any indication it has been addressed.

@@Ravic May I ask what kind of cheat they are talking about? Because for the past 6 months I havent seen anything besides the usual suspects: aimbot, speed/wallhack. Though I gotta say I'm playing on European servers, maybe its different in NA?

@@Randalmaker A while ago I saw example of one where the cheater was modifying the loadouts/kits of other people in a public server on-the-fly. Removing weapons, changing what the player has equipped, etc. things like that.

No I don't really have a desire to go back and play because of certain aspects of the game. Also I haven't seen proof that the new anti-cheat addressed the much scarier cheating/hacking issue in BF5.

It's not really healthy to stay/live in the past. Adapting to change whether those changes are good or bad is better if you plan to continue playing video games with friends.

@@Rezduck_ I mentioned I was saving footage for each map in the playlist so I could eventually make a video for each one. I didn't start doing it until the later part of BF5 and I probably felt I wanted to have plenty for each map so collecting would take a while outside of the other videos I normally produced for BF5.
