Battlefront II EA's Single Player Campaign Was HORRENDOUS

A real travesty amongst Star Wars gaming is the abortion we all know as Star Wars Battlefront II (2017). A falsely marketed, poorly written dumpster fire that proves the failure of the Sequel Trilogy given this is supposed to tie-in directly into The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
Join me as I rip right into the Battlefront II campaign and tear it apart, with rage rivalling that of Darth Vader because of my extreme hope and disappointment placed in the Battlefront II as a whole. This is a full-on critique so I hope you guys enjoy.

What is convincing---> Tarkin: "Fear will keep the local systems in line, fear of this battle station" *blows up Alderaan to strike fear into the heart of the rebellion. Rebellion is scared enough to stage a suicide mission to destroy the Death Star.* What EA writers thought would be convincing--> Operation Cinder: Destroy key Imperial systems in order to secure the Empire, and defeat the Rebellion. *Rebellion gains elite Imperial commando defectors, and wins the war within a year or two*

The biggest problem with the New Canon/Disney Star Wars regarding the Sequels is you basically HAVE to read outside film material to understand things and the gap between ROTJ and TFA.

It’s fuckin’ dumb! If you gotta read third party sources to understand basic elements in the plot, it means the movie goddamn failed to stand on it’s own! Total bullcrap! IMO of course.

It also shows they had no goddamn plan for this crap. If some movie or game needs external sources to set it up, to show us the characters’ backstory… it means they have a fuckin’ problem there.Making the eu non canon, just to rehash their ideas and try to sell it as their own creation, meanwhile totaly screwing it up! Fuck ‘em!

Another big problem with the games in the New Canon is that gameplay footage and mechanics are literally canon! Before what they did in the old days was the general story happened, but it didn't happen exactly in the way it was played. They used to do that to deal with multiple choices, multiple endings, customization, why you can get hit a million times when you should be dead only to instantly recover just by walking over a rotating health back, etc. They need to bring back the hierarchy system they used to use.

Dang, I had no idea how much the campaign was miss-marketed. I think there was something unique buried in Iden's character that EA just wasted because of reasons I can't comprehend.

They act like they're the first ones to humanize the Empire, even though OG Battlefront 2 already did that.

I hate this twist! Versio joining the enemy seems like comin’ from thin air! And it’s so fuckin’ boring to see these fuckers have a change of heart! One day she commands imperial troops, the next time she guns down her former comrades! Fuck this twist! You know, that’s the reason I hated Finn’s story too

This game could’ve focus on Iden (is that her name?) when she joined the Galactic Empire. Give a reason why she joined, then develop her companionship with her allies idk.

I still like the game. I still play it from time to time. The campaign is really bad. Sometimes I completely forget about it. Even my nephew got bored of it. The only levels I liked were the ones when you don't play as Iden Versio.

What do you think of people saying Kylo Ren's lightsaber is inpractical? It's really true. He easily can cut his hands or someone would do it. Some people attack Darth Maul's and Bastila Shan's stuff and say it's bad either

You ain't kidding about the difficulty, I played on the Normal skill where you can lose thirty hit points at once if you get grazed by a single Blaster Bolt

I played the campaign through to the destruction of the death star and immediately asked for a refund. If Disney can botch such a legendary scene, I knew the rest would be just as bad or worse.
