Obviously it's possible and if I were in a similar situation I'd hope that I could make it work. But what I do stand by is that the other two kids wasn't his responsibility and he did try to make it work for the benefit of the kids so you've really lost me now. Because he did try. Were we watching the same case? He did try to do exactly what you're saying here but grandma was tripping which is my point. She wanted it to be either her way or the highway and he wasn't going for that. She should have bent more instead of trying to push him into doing what she wanted him to do.
