What’s up everybody. In todays video, I will be doing an unboxing, demo, and initial review of the Bauer 8V cordless rotary tool that I purchased from Harbor Freight. I wanted this for sharpening my chainsaw chain and other minor projects. This rotary tool works great and is very inexpensive.

Super Great info video! Your one of the better KZfaq cameramen and narrators out there! (Thanks for mentioning the chain sharpener. I'll do that, too! Just bought a handheld mini 24V chain saw). Also,... I may be mistaken, but I believe that you can use the Bauer Rotary Tool while it's plugged into the mini USB charger so that you'll have almost endless hours of Rotary Tool use without actually using up all your battery juice.

Still on sale for $30 lmao. This tool sucks. If your read the reviews on harbor freight, all of them say the tool stops working suddenly

It’s not for heavy duty use. It’s a battery operated value tool so when you push too hard and the rotary slows down it shuts off to not burn out the batteries. It’s meant for smaller jobs. I use it to sharpen my chainsaw chains, cut bolts, trim plastic/pvc, etc. and it works fine for me. If your needs are more heavy duty or my complex, a corded version is recommended.

@@BOOGiNSmine died after 2 weeks lol had the warranty so I got this brand new one and I’m giving it a second chance if it fails I’m going with the milwauker 🤙🏾

Bought one two weeks ago and it died yesterday had the warranty so got a brand new one I’m giving it another chance hopefully it’ll last longer

Died completely? Mine has shut off sometimes if I am cutting something too hard that puts too much stress on the motor but I turn the power switch off and back on again and it works again. It is really meant for small jobs as anything big would need direct power plugged in.

@@DieselLegiance yeah it’ll struggle to run for 2 seconds with out doing anything and then shuts off and it happened after letting it charge fully and I don’t use it for anything big just to grind rust off my go karts frame the biggest job I’ve done with it was probably cut some pins off that were less then 1 inch thick and it sucks cause I had faith in it

Yeah sounds like something is wrong with it. I use it mainly for sharpening my chainsaw but small jobs like cutting plastic panels or maybe cutting small bolts down. Anything more I’ll grab a powered rotary tool.
