I remember the how shocked I was with the plot twist at the end with the final boss, and the ending cutscene had me in tears 😭

Here is my baseless assumption: what if Luca, the Arch-Adam Origin, is the reincarnation of Lukaon the prince of the faeries? That would explain why Luca in 3rd game has a faerie-like form aka Strider. (OwOu)

Not completely baseless! Cereza did say that she has no idea of where the souls of faeries go when they die. Faeires are neither creatures from Paradiso or Inferno, so they might undergo reincarnation instead.

@@reicho3034 In Antonio's notes from Bayonetta 1, says that regular humans, when they died, goes to Paradiso and do a process of reincarnation. (Unlike Umbra witches) It's unknown the fate of Lukaon, who is half human half faerie, where his soul goes, but I like to think that he is the reincarnation of our Luka too!

seeing how much bayonetta, despite trying to kill her, took from morgana is quite amazing. the deemon masquarade, demon slave, witch time at least there will be no speculating from which dimension this bayonetta is...we can all assume shes from 3rd bayonetta, despite the hair choice in the end

But if she is Bayonetta of Bayonetta 3, why she can't identify Strider as a Faerie? Maybe not all of her memories comes back after been sealed for a long time. If she is the same Bayonetta from the first and second game. A lot of people said that Bayonetta 3 is Cereza from the first game, which she never been sealed by Jeanne, so then, why she can't remember her adventure for the Avalon forest, the faeries and the demon that name him as Chesire? I see many inconsitencies.

I can see what u mean. In my opinion, strider is only a half human half faerie if u remember. Like cereza, lukaon is also half umbrun. This could lead to his form looking more demonic then a normal faerie. Cereza remembers Cheshire ofc, shes calling Luka Cheshire, I think this cause chishire was really dear to her, so she called the next best person to her, to whom she has a similar teasing relationship. Luka.

@@rouletteitis9714 the fact that Bayonetta doesn't recognize Strider as a faerie because he's also human could be a good reasoning. But I think the fact Bayonetta called Chesire Luka is more about for the plushie than for the demon, hinting that Bayonetta and Cereza are more close than just been mother and daughter. I don't know if Kamyia was already thought of Chesire the demon when he wrote the story of Bayonetta 1, it looks more like that Chesire the demon is a new character that wasn't planned from the very beginning of the franchise. But I could be wrong.🙌🏻

I still keep asking how we got the sassy and sadistic witch in the main series from this absolute cinnamon roll of a child. I also wonder what causes Cheshire, who is mostly in a state of displeasure through the first half of the game, to become the jovial Totoro lookalike that sees the Bayonetta family as his best buddies.

The Angel Puca uses is actully just an illusion he created. It he did try and failed to bring real Angels under his controll so he must have a way to reach them so I think his portal powers are real and not just a trick.

Maybe she had to learn it first like how umbran witches don't just naturally do witchcraft. It could be a good idea for the next bayonetta game to explore the lumen sages. Maybe to stir up the gameplay cereza (any universe) gets to learn to summon angels, idk if angels make contracts (guardianship???) but she can make it work. Sadly it's more likely viola will be the next bayonetta mc so maybe not.

@@en9719 I'm willing to bet that Bayonetta could, but doesn't because she personally dislikes Angels, and they dislike her. Besides, she has to kill a certain number of angels, so I'd assume summoning them is counter-productive. Viola though, as far as I'm aware she isn't contractually obligated in the same was as her mother. Pehaps she could have inherited grandad's powers too? If she's the next Bayo, she'll need more versatility to match Cereza's after all.

It's fairly directly stated, that their powers are more so result of training rather than hereditary and Cereza was raised as an Umbran. Besides Umbra and Lumen's power sets are reflections of one another, making them in effect very similar, even though the source of their powers are different.

@@madambutterfly1997 Quite possibly, but at this point I'd rather not think about all of the messy implications of that whole multiverse business, because focusing on what's under the table stands to trivialize what's layed on top of it and that tends to suck the fun out of things for me.

For an entry that at its face seems like a sort of kiddy pool spinoff, this game had no business being as good as it is. While it's obviously very different from the prior games on just about every level, it still somehow manages to fully feel like a Bayonetta game and honestly, just in terms of the narrative, it has the best writing the series has ever seen, arguable as it is how high that particular bar would have been. The only thing I could say I dislike is how Jeanne's secret chapter seems to imply Singularity is gonna keep being an ongoing nuisance going forward. Can't say I'd care about the prospect of them regularly popping up to remind us that the multiversal nonesense is still supposed to be a thing.

@@Jellyfishlady Oh for sure, it has that good old fairy tale eeriness to it. Kinda comes with the territory of being set in an old enchanted forest and large chunk of the extended cast consisting of cursed children who were spirited away there.

There definitely is, albeit the art style makes them look a lot more different. The Lukaon in Bayonetta 3 is a full-grown man, so it’s very likely that in the universe we encountered him, Lukaon was never imprisoned with a curse or the curse was broken.🤔

@@reicho3034 That's definitely likely. Some even say that the Lukaon in this game reincarnated as Luka later on Bayonetta 1.

@@CrimsonJewel Probably. Lukaon is the Arch-Adam of his world, and so is Luka. Arch-Eves are all different versions of Bayonetta, so it would be strange for Arch-Adam to not be the same.

@@reicho3034 the reason is because.....Homunculy invasion....all the diferent times and diferent universes fused together....creating bubble universes in the process. Lukaon could return because the alphaverse existence reacted with Luka and restored Lukaon soul. With that....Luka now...as the Ark Adan Origin...have full control of his power trnasformation. That make sense....so Viola have Human DNA, Umbran Witch Heritage and have Faerie King Blood....wich explains her Masquerade form.

The entire time, ever since I saw Puca, I was expecting him to just be some hapless stooge who was standing in for the actual king, who was off seeing to the more intricate details of whatever grand scheme was in the works, and that Puca would eventually get his ass killed for his repeated failures.

Weird thing to get hang up on... 1. Going by Bayonetta's established timeline, this would take place (presumably) in Britain around 500 years in the past, not far off from the time period we strongly associate with knights, their old timey code of chivalry and such. 2. Cereza's a preteen girl and 3. She grows up to be a dom and sass like that kinda comes with the territory.
