Unlike other Umbra witches who merely used Demons as tools, Cereza will have a true friend waiting for her when her time comes. She will not face the Inferno alone.

Well, won't she be facing Inferno (almost) alone because Cheshire is for sure gonna stay with Viola. I know Cereza will have Luka, but I don't think Cheshire would be there for her. If anything, I kind of hope she's reincarnated and turns into a demon herself (and perhaps Viola could make a contract with her)

I like that Lukaon is connected to Cereza, I imagine that his soul was transmigrated in to Luka and him having powers can now be explained. This makes me believe that they have reunited, in some shape or form. And the two are destined to meet again.

That's probably it. The Lukaon we met in Bayonetta 3 may have been an alternate version of him that didn't die as a child. That's why he grew up to be an adult and became the king of Avalon Forest. It appears that Luka is the reincarnation of the Lukaon that died in this game. That makes him a Lukaon counterpart. When the universes started to collapse on each other, they merged, and Arch-Adam Origin Luka regained his fairy powers and gained others from Dark Adam as well. The result was Strider, Twilight Wanderer.

It should have been obvious that future games would answer the questions raised by 3. He wants the story to leave room for lots of fan discussion and theories before giving the answers in future episodes. With the first game, you all accepted the story because "it's not a game you buy for the story" but after 2, that perception changed, but for some reason, people ignored the way 1's story was just as *seemingly* nonsensical without deep analysis and Bayonetta 2.

it all makes sense now, Morgana was the witch that the previous king of the fairies fell in love with in the past, and when the Umbra witches found out about this, after what happened to her significant other's demise, they banished her.

Like… the 2nd Bayonetta Origins could be a case of her travelling and becoming the Witch that we know and love and then the in the end of it: she returns to the Umbran village to continue being Jeanne’s Rival, and then the 3rd one… for which we all know what that could be…

Hopefully another prequel that takes place just before the original game, where Cereza wakes up from her coffin from Luka's dad. Then we see how she adjusted to the 21st century and got hooked up with Rodin and Enzo

i already can see this as the beginning of a subfranchise derivated from the Bayonetta main franchise, Some sort of "child Tales" explaining the weird lore of the main games: Like a tale explaining who is Rodin ......or a tale relating how was Viola's chidhood in her timeline and her relationship with her mother....or even a tale explaining how Rosa and Balder met and fell in love.....oohh the posibilities.

My only questions? 1: why didn't Morgana just use restoration magic now that her son was with her outside the forest? 2: WHAT IS IT WITH UMBRA WITCHES EXILING FELLOW WITCHES OVER LOVE? I get why in Rosa's case but why Morgana?

interesting fact, before morgana gets dragged down you can see in the background spider lillies foreshadowing her dark turn of event. Spider lillies are historically known to bloom in the depths ofthe netherworld of hell to guide lost souls to their next lives, they symbolize death, goodbyes, and abandoment and bad luck. In japan they are associated as final goodbyes which seems very fitting in this moment, legends has it in japanese culture that these flowers grow wherever people part for good. In old Buddhist writings, the red spider lily is said to guide the dead through samsara, the cycle of rebirth

Thank you for the upload, it was an interesting story. It explains a bit about the Cheshire from Bayonetta 3 as well as the part about Luka and Lukaon, and we see the beginning of Witch Time as well as Bayonetta's talent for fighting with the aid of giant demons. The final two escape sequences remind me a bit of the endgame of Sonic Colors.

I hope we get to see more of this Cereza as she grows up and matures to be more like the gunslinger witch we know. Maybe for the next Bayonetta, they’ll do it like going back and forth in time between Viola as the new Bayonetta and Cereza on her adventure after this.

This was a nice prequel. It was interesting to see how different Cereza was as a child as opposed to the elegant, sassy bad ass adult witch who we know as 😂 side note: how adorable is young Cereza and Jeanne designs 😍 they look like little gothic ballerinas, ballet is definitely an age appropriate choice for them to preform magic 😊

It is highly recommended that you play this before Bayonetta 3 (except for Episode Jeanne, that is). Otherwise, this has it all: a compelling story, engaging characters, a distinctive art style, tight gameplay, and two of the best final boss designs in the series that don't have annoying boss designs, difficulty spikes or padding like the last three games respectively. In other words, this is easily on par with Bayonetta 2 in terms of quality overall. I guess this is what happens when Platinum peels back the excess.

really loved this, its gave somewhat an explanation of the random ahs luca in the bayonetta 3 lmao, kinda disappointed though we didn't get a madama butterfly interaction in this game would've been nice to have cheshire and madama fight alongside, but also at least here it even gave more story for cheshire and the whole demon in the third game, also the part where she sang the song to cheshire was sweet, still weirded out by viola in the bayonetta series though........ whole lotta of luca and no bayonetta ugh, but still this is a nice game to bounce back from that. Also its nice they added the umbran witch combining at the end for morgana and her boss fight was really cool too, its also nice how they went with the more elemental route here compared to the dark power gory blood way bayo does when shes an adult, do wish we had more of her personality of sass throughout the game though, otherwise it would feel weird to have sweet, innocent cereza turning out sassy and bossy out of nowhere lmao but that's bayoneta I guess.

Well as you grow up that innocence gradually fades away. That is if it's not ultimately destroyed by people who are supposed to care about you. Bayonetta most likely had her's beaten out of her after this part of her story. I love the outfit designs for her and Jeanne. Its nice to see them being "Kitty" as opposed to Ceraza in the first game, Loki in B2, or Viola in B3. It also ties into why bayonetta calls people she's closest to "Cheshire" or "Kitty" as opposed to "little one".

People were really hard on this game but I'm actually glad it was made. We are repeatedly told that bayonetta was supposed to be kept from the dark arts but clearly that didn't happen. It's pretty obvious that Jaunne nor Rosa taught her how. So how the hell did she learn? What was her childhood like? How did she get her beloved Cheshire & watch? This game actually fills in those gaps that were hinted at but never explained. Though ceraza sleeping outside and the ridiculous amounts of spider web motifs of her mentor should have clued me in that she was evil.

the names of things in this are in Irish! Amadan Dubh means Black Fool and Tir na nOg is a mystical island in Irish legend! Iv never seen Irish used in a game before!

I wished they would have given us more lore between the lumen sages and umbra witches. But I really am curious what the will do with the fairy aspect of all this in future games.

They gave us more witch lore. For example, we saw that even Morgana as a powerful witch still couldn't use witch time, emphasising just how talented and powerful Jeanne and Cereza are. We also got to see Jeanne use soul projection, like Cereza uses it to protect baby Cereza in the first game, and it showed us that witches can fly while in soul projection. It showed us that demons can use alternatives to witches hair to sustain themselves, like the body of a stuffed animal. We previously only knew they could possess human bodies, like Rodin does. It showed us witches can use witch pulse and witch vine to summon giant vines with thorns, and grow infernal plants. It showed us Cereza using a cauldron to concoct potions, and showed us how witches practice dancing to wield magic.
