As this happens to be the last Christmas of the 2010s, and as I happen to have a full collection of them, here is a full montage of BBC one East Christmas idents for 2010-2019.
Since I got my first LG RHT hard-drive/DVD recorder around 2009, I have collected quite a lot of material, especially when I launched the TelevisionVault KZfaq channel in 2008. There have been some setbacks, recorder components failing or becoming worn, discs and files becoming corrupt, machines running out of either hard drive space or recording slots, and particularly a nasty (very occasional) habit with the machines of not completing recordings (some of them infuriatingly whole blocks of programming) which have made me lose my temper with them a few times, but it's mostly been good.
With KZfaq introducing new rules and regulations for 2020 and, amongst other things, ITV shaking up its morning and daytime schedule in the new year, plus also with DVDs becoming less popular and streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime and NOWtv becoming more popular, it may be somewhat eventful in the 2020s, and who knows where the Television Vault may proceed in this next decade. Will I still be talking about this same situation in 2029? Will anyone still know of what is contained within these videos I post to KZfaq in 2029? And for that matter, will I still be on KZfaq in 2029? Alas, if I could predict the future, I'd be Mystic Meg. (And not many people nowadays would know who that refers to either!)
Nonetheless, to my followers on both KZfaq and Twitter, have a happy, peaceful and enjoyable Christmas period, and a prosperous, healthy and wealthy 2020 from the Vault. Let's hope there's more opportunity for material collection in the new year and beyond.
