As British military operations in Afghanistan come to an end, attention turns to the legacy of those who survived. And the families of those who didn't. Retired Brigadier Mike Griffiths is former director of personnel for the British Army. He lost his own son to the war in Afghanistan and went on to train visiting officers -those whose job it is to break the news of deaths and injuries to Army families.
