seeing Chaos 2 avoid the pit twice was absolutely amazing, thats why Chaos 2 is my all time fave robot from Robot Wars, Wild Thing put up a fight in this battle

Chaos 2 vs Wild Thing might be the best fight of the entire show, if only because it looked genuinely competitive.

Seriously, how did Chaos 2 not go in the pit the second time? They must've been snagged on something. Amazing!

The pit pyro going off and Chaos 2 somehow *not* falling in - one of the most dramatic moments in Robot Wars. I can never forget seeing that the first time. The background music matched the intensity of the fight too.

I cried when Chaos 2 nearly when in the pit twice. Shows what an amazing champion by beloved champion is! :D x

As I said. this WAS good! Chaos 2 vs Wild Thing is unquestionably a contender for one of the BEST Robots Wars battles in all 7 seasons of the show (plus Extremes and other specials)- the 2 best drivers ever to mash metal in the arena, driving 2 of the best, fastest and most agile robots. STUNNING display from both parties. While the result was sad for Wild Thing, I can't argue with it- yes, Wild Thing almost pitted Chaos 2 twice (once they even caused the pit smoke bomb to go off preemptively!), but Chaos 2 almost ringed Wild Thing out twice as well. And while Nick Adams drove like a (well-controlled) madman, I think George Francis JUST had the edge, with more effective attacks (I don't think Wild Thing's disc managed to do any damage to Chaos 2 and they didn't manage to knock them over either). Wild Thing DOES do better the longer a fight goes on because it's fully electric and has incredible stamina, while Chaos 2 will eventually run out of gas, but that's not enough to swing it in this case. Razer really are almost unfightable, honestly. NOTHING can get under their zero ground clearance at the front, nothing at all, if you try and fail there's no way to avoid catastrophic damage and it's agile and well-driven enough to be almost impossible to attack from the sides- it just has to rotate on the spot to present its front to you if you try to attack and if you don't, it'll come for you, it WILL get under you and it will destroy you. No wonder its worst enemy was its own engineering failings!

0:09 Pushed them back and the only things they used the increased weight limit for was for a slightly bigger front and a larger CO2 canister. Pretty much a normal heavyweight holding its own against borderline Super Heavys.

This was clearly Chaos 2's victory. Wild Thing wasn't really able to do much except nearly pit Chaos 2 twice.

Chaos were incredibly lucky to stay out of the pit, the first time it was only because it was under the front of Wild Thing, the second time it was only because the tyre jammed on the edge. But I agree with the judges.

Wow, now that battle was one of the closest and most action packed battles up to this point. While I wouldn't directly say that Wild Thing are one of the best drivers, I still liked the team and think they did good, the robot on the other hand was always a wedge which should've needed proper weaponary, like a real flipper. By Series 4 it felt a bit outdated, and while the disc did cause some damage in Series 5 and Extreme, I wouldn't say it was too effective, but hey they tried and created something rather unique. As for Chaos 2, wow that was close and amazing that the motors were able to push wild thing, also if you look at the flipper near the end of the battle you can see how little gas is left, as those flips won't really go anywhere.

I think the difference is that Chaos 2 flipped Wild Thing about ten times, whereas Prizphita only flipped Wild Thing three or four times. In addition, Chaos's flipper may have been running out but it still seemed to be going strong, whereas Prizphita was clearly limping at the end of that fight.

Chaos 2 vs Wild Thing is my second favourite battle ever, after Bigger Brother vs Hypno-Disc. I'd love to see the exact scores each robot got from the judges.

I'm surprised at the unanimous decision. Was very close and you could make an argument for both Robots winning - Chaos 2 showed poor control being pushed that close to the pit BUT he did manage to hang on/use witchcraft to not go in the pit, which could be seen as good control. Wild thing had a lot of aggression in pushing C2 around the arena, but also got flipped around a lot too. VERY tough decision I think.

The judges' reasoning was right, but it means this battle should never have happened. If they'd used the same reasoning in the heat final against Prizphita, Wild Thing would have lost.

I think the judges were being a LITTLE bias with the decision, as we know that Wild Thing is something of a late bloomer.

A thrilling losers melee? I would bloody hope so in a semi final!!! I'm not a fan of giving robots that lose a second chance, that defies the whole point of an elimination style competition, they should have done what they did in the previous series, start off with a melee, eliminating the weakest in each fight and then straight fights between the remaining four.

@bionicle2809 Chaos 2 was pitted in the first world champioships in series 3.

And once again the result is decided by the judges instead of by who actually was doing better and would have won had the clock given them more time. You could see that the flipper of chaos 2 was weakening and running out of CO2 and Wild Thing was still just as strong and Wild Thing was doing better and had the upper hand by the end of the clock.

Wild Thing lost in the heats to Prizphita anyway, don't see how they are cross since they didn't knock them down the pit and did little else
